For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

耶稣说：“这是我立约的血，为多人流出来的。

惟独肉带着血，那就是它的生命，你们不可吃。

所以，耶稣要用自己的血叫百姓成圣，也就在城门外受苦。

既然藉着他在十字架上所流的血成就了和平，便藉着他叫万有，无论是地上的、天上的，都与自己和好了。

我们藉这爱子的血得蒙救赎，过犯得以赦免，乃是照他丰富的恩典。

就是照父神的先见被拣选，藉着圣灵得成圣洁，以致顺服耶稣基督，又蒙他血所洒的人。愿恩惠、平安多多地加给你们。

现在我们既靠着他的血称义，就更要藉着他免去神的忿怒。

“亚伦要把赎罪祭的公牛牵来宰了，为自己和本家赎罪；

因为这是我立约的血，为多人流出来，使罪得赦。

就宰了公牛。摩西用指头蘸血，抹在坛上四角的周围，使坛洁净，把血倒在坛的脚那里，使坛成圣，坛就洁净了；

正如人子来，不是要受人的服侍，乃是要服侍人，并且要舍命，作多人的赎价。”

“论到一切活物的生命，就在血中。所以我对以色列人说：无论什么活物的血，你们都不可吃，因为一切活物的血就是他的生命。凡吃了血的，必被剪除。

也要取些公牛的血，用指头弹在施恩座的东面，又在施恩座的前面弹血七次。“随后他要宰那为百姓作赎罪祭的公山羊，把羊的血带入幔子内，弹在施恩座的上面和前面，好像弹公牛的血一样。他因以色列人诸般的污秽、过犯，就是他们一切的罪愆，当这样在圣所行赎罪之礼，并因会幕在他们污秽之中，也要照样而行。他进圣所赎罪的时候，会幕里不可有人，直等到他为自己和本家并以色列全会众赎了罪出来。他出来，要到耶和华面前的坛那里，在坛上行赎罪之礼，又要取些公牛的血和公山羊的血，抹在坛上四角的周围；也要用指头把血弹在坛上七次，洁净了坛，从坛上除掉以色列人诸般的污秽，使坛成圣。”
