因为生命在血中，耶和华把血赐给你们，使你们可以用血在祭坛上为自己赎罪。血可以为人的生命赎罪。

For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

The life of each creature is in its blood. So I have given you the blood of animals to pay for your sin on the altar. Blood is life. That is why blood pays for your sin.

上帝使基督耶稣成为赎罪祭，以便人借着相信耶稣的宝血可以得到赦免。这是为了显明上帝的义，因为祂用忍耐的心宽容人过去的罪，

我们借着祂的爱子蒙救赎，罪过得到赦免。

耶稣说：“这是我为万人所流的立约之血。

只是你们不可吃带血的肉，因为血就是生命。

同样，耶稣也在城门外受难，为要用自己的血使祂的子民圣洁。

又借着祂在十字架上所流的血成就了和平，使天地万物借着祂与上帝和好。

我们借着祂爱子的血蒙救赎，过犯得到赦免，这都是出于祂的洪恩。

你们蒙拣选是按照父上帝预先定好的旨意，借着圣灵得以圣洁，好顺服耶稣基督，并靠祂的血得到洁净。愿上帝赐给你们丰丰富富的恩典和平安！

现在，我们既然因祂所流的血而被称为义人，岂不更要靠着祂免受上帝的烈怒吗？

“亚伦要把那只为他作赎罪祭的公牛犊牵来宰杀，为自己和全家赎罪，

这是我为万人所流的立约之血，为了使罪得到赦免。

摩西宰了牛，用手指蘸一些牛血抹在祭坛的四角上，以洁净祭坛；把剩下的血倒在祭坛脚旁，使祭坛圣洁。

正如人子不是来受人服侍，而是来服侍人，并且牺牲性命，作许多人的赎价。”

因为众生的生命都在血中。因此，耶和华吩咐以色列人不可吃任何动物的血，因为血就是生命。凡吃血的都要被铲除。

他要取一些牛血，用手指弹洒在施恩座的东面，也要在施恩座前用手指弹洒七次。然后，亚伦要出去宰杀那只为民众作赎罪祭的公山羊，把羊血带进幔子里，像洒牛血一样洒在施恩座的上面和前面。因以色列人的污秽、叛逆和罪恶，他要这样为至圣所赎罪。他也要同样为会幕赎罪，因为会幕座落在以色列人中间，处在他们的污秽中。从他进入圣所为自己全家和以色列全体会众赎罪开始，直到他赎完罪出来为止，任何人都不可待在会幕里。之后，他要来到耶和华面前的祭坛那里，为祭坛赎罪。他要取一些牛血和羊血，抹在祭坛的四角上，用手指向祭坛洒血七次，除掉以色列人的污秽，使祭坛圣洁。
