“ This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and not do any work— whether native- born or a foreigner residing among you—

“ Here is a law for you that will last for all time to come. On the tenth day of the seventh month you must not eat anything. You must not do any work. It does not matter whether you are Israelites or outsiders.

“ And it shall be a statute to you forever that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict yourselves and shall do no work, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you.

“ On the tenth day of the appointed month in early autumn, you must deny yourselves. Neither native born Israelites nor foreigners living among you may do any kind of work. This is a permanent law for you.

“ This is to be a permanent statute for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month you are to practice self-denial and do no work, both the native and the alien who resides among you.

他说：“但以理啊，不要怕，从你在上帝面前谦卑地恳求明白这异象的第一天，你的祷告已蒙垂听。我是来答复你的。

你们要在那天召开圣会，不可做日常工作。不论住在哪里，你们都要世代遵守这永远不变的律例。

他们生病时，我披上麻衣，谦卑地为他们禁食祷告，但上帝没有垂听。

难道这是我要的禁食吗？难道刻苦己身、像芦苇一样垂着头、躺在麻布和炉灰上就是禁食吗？这就是你们所谓的禁食，所谓的蒙耶和华悦纳的日子吗？

但第七天是你的上帝耶和华的安息日，这一天你和儿女、仆婢、牲畜及你那里的外族人不可做任何工。

“七月十日是赎罪日，你们要举行圣会，禁食，献火祭给耶和华。那是在你们的上帝耶和华面前为自己赎罪的日子，你们不可工作。那天，凡不禁食的，要将他从民中铲除；凡工作的，耶和华要毁灭他。你们不可做任何工作。不论住在哪里，你们都要世代遵守这永不改变的律例。那是你们可以完全休息的安息之日。从七月九日傍晚至次日傍晚，你们必须禁食。”

如果我们先自我省察，就不会遭受审判了。

在以他念月，即七月住棚节的时候，以色列人都聚集到所罗门王那里。

合乎上帝心意的忧伤会带来悔改，使人得到救恩，永不后悔，但世俗的忧伤只会带来死亡。你们看，合乎上帝心意的忧伤使你们产生了何等的迫切感啊！你们热切地辩明自己的立场，对罪愤慨，恐惧战抖，期盼与我相见，疾恶如仇，惩处罪恶。你们在各方面已显明自己在那件事上是清白的。

亚伦每年要在坛的角上行一次赎罪礼，用赎罪祭牲的血涂在坛角上，世代如此。这是耶和华至圣的坛。”

期间没有吃过美味，没有尝过酒肉，没有抹过膏油。

在节期的第一天和第七天，你们都要招聚百姓举行圣会。这两天所有人都不得工作，除了预备各人要吃的以外，不可做任何工。

我悲伤禁食，他们就羞辱我。

“你们一周可以工作六天，但第七天是安息日，你们要休息，举行圣会。不可做任何工，无论你们住在哪里，都要守耶和华的安息日。

到了七月，以色列人已安居各城，他们万众一心地聚集在耶路撒冷。

因为人进入上帝的安息，就是歇了自己的工作，好像上帝歇了祂的工作一样。

“‘如果你们遵守安息日，在我的圣日不做私事，以安息日为乐，尊崇我的圣日，不随意而行，不妄自说话，
