遮掩自己過犯的，必不亨通；承認並離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

大衛對拿單說：“我得罪了耶和華了。”拿單對大衛說：“耶和華已經除去了你的罪，你必不至於死。

倒不如饒恕他，安慰他，免得他因憂愁過度而受不了。

有人對神說：‘我忍受了管教，不再有敗壞的行為了，我所看不到的求你指教我，我若行了罪孽，必不再行’。

好叫你們不再隨從人的私慾，只順從神的旨意，在世上度餘下的光陰。因為你們過去隨從教外人的心意，行邪淫、私慾、醉酒、荒宴、狂飲和可憎拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。

弟兄們，如果有人陷在一些過犯裡，你們屬靈的人，要用溫柔的心使他回轉過來，自己卻要小心，免得也被引誘。
