自掩其罪，必不亨通；痛改前非，必蒙憐憫。

大衛對拿單說：「我得罪了耶和華。」拿單說：「耶和華已經赦免了你的罪，使你不致死亡。

你們現在要饒恕他、安慰他，免得他憂傷過度而一蹶不振。

「有誰對上帝說，『我受了管教，不會再犯罪；我不明白的事，求你指教我；我若行了惡事，必不再行』？

可以在今後的生活中不再隨從人的私慾，只服從上帝的旨意。你們從前長期沉溺於異教徒的嗜好——淫亂、縱慾、醉酒、狂歡、宴樂和可憎的偶像崇拜。

弟兄姊妹，如果有人不慎犯了罪，你們順從聖靈的人就應該溫柔地挽回他，同時也要小心，免得自己也受誘惑。
