Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. (niv)

But these you may not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture,the red kite, the black kite, any kind of falcon,any kind of raven,the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,the little owl, the great owl, the white owl,the desert owl, the osprey, the cormorant,the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.All flying insects are unclean to you; do not eat them.But any winged creature that is clean you may eat. (niv)

Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their cavalry gallops headlong; their horsemen come from afar. They fly like an eagle swooping to devour; (niv)

Does the eagle soar at your command and build its nest on high?It dwells on a cliff and stays there at night; a rocky crag is its stronghold.From there it looks for food; its eyes detect it from afar.Its young ones feast on blood, and where the slain are, there it is.” (niv)

No bird of prey knows that hidden path, no falcon’s eye has seen it. (niv)
