The Lord’s anointed, our very life breath, was caught in their traps. We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations.

Zedekiah, the Lord’ s anointed king, was our last hope. But he was caught in their traps. We thought he would keep us safe. We expected to continue living among the nations.

The breath of our nostrils, the Lord’s anointed, was captured in their pits, of whom we said,“ Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.”

Our king— the Lord’s anointed, the very life of our nation— was caught in their snares. We had thought that his shadow would protect us against any nation on earth!

The LORD’s anointed, the breath of our life, was captured in their traps. We had said about him,“ We will live under his protection among the nations.”

The breath of our nostrils, the Lord’s anointed, Was captured in their pits, Of whom we had said,“ In his shadow We shall live among the nations.”

耶和華上帝用地上的塵土造了人，把生命的氣息吹進他的鼻孔裡，他就成了有生命的人。

但迦勒底的軍隊追上來，在耶利哥的平原擒住西底迦，把他帶到哈馬的利比拉去見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，接受審判。

我必撒開網羅捕捉他，把他帶到迦勒底人的巴比倫。他必看不見那地方，卻要死在那裡。

洗魯雅的兒子亞比篩說：「示每曾經咒罵耶和華所膏立的君王，難道不應該處死他嗎？」

錫安的城門陷入地中，主摧毀、砍斷她的門閂。她的君王和首領流落異鄉，律法不復存在，她的先知得不到從耶和華而來的異象。

大衛說：「你怎麼敢下手殺耶和華所膏立的王？

你現在親眼看見了，剛才在山洞裡，耶和華把你交在我手中，有人叫我殺你，我卻不肯，因為你是耶和華所膏立的王，我不會動手傷害你。

如今我站在這裡，你們只管在耶和華和祂膏立的王面前為我作證，我奪過誰的牛？搶過誰的驢？欺騙過誰？壓迫過誰？收過誰的賄賂而徇私枉法？如果有的話，我一定償還。」

「基利波山啊，願你沒有雨露，你的田地不長獻祭用的五穀，因為在那裡勇士的盾牌污跡斑斑，掃羅的盾牌沒有抹油。

撒母耳對他們說：「耶和華和祂所膏立的王今天為我作證，我沒有拿過你們任何人的東西。」他們說：「是的，耶和華為證。」

他們卻說：「請我王不要出戰。因為如果我們敗逃，敵方不會放在心上；即使我們一半人陣亡，敵方也不會放在心上。你一人比我們一萬人更寶貴。你還是留在城中支援我們吧。」

我找到了我的僕人大衛，用我的聖油膏立他。我的手必扶持他，我的臂膀必加給他力量。

大衛卻說：「不要殺他，誰殺害耶和華所膏立的王，都難逃罪責。

迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底迦，在耶利哥平原追上了他。他的軍隊都四散而逃。

你失職了。我憑永活的耶和華起誓，你們都該死。因為你們沒有保護你們的主——耶和華所膏立的王。你看看王身邊的矛和水瓶在哪裡？」

耶西及其眾子來了，撒母耳看見以利押，心裡想：「這位肯定是耶和華要膏立的人。」

「我們父親的命與這孩子的命緊密相連，倘若我沒有把這孩子帶回到你僕人——我父親身邊，

列國的人知道後，便設陷阱捉住牠，用鉤子拉到埃及。母獅盼著牠回來，眼見指望落空，便又養育一頭幼獅，使牠成為雄壯的獅子。牠出入獅群，學會了捕食和吃人。牠夷平列國的堡壘，使他們的城邑淪為廢墟，遍地都因牠的咆哮而震驚。於是，列國便從四面圍攻牠，設網羅捕捉牠。牠落入他們的陷阱。

他對部下說：「我不該做這樣的事，我主是耶和華所膏立的王，我絕不出手傷害他，因為他是耶和華所膏立的。」

他起誓降服，卻棄約背誓，所以絕不能逃避後果。
