Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this:

我想起这事，心里就有指望。

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

This I recall to my mind; therefore I have hope.

O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows.

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will he never again be kind to me?Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed?Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he slammed the door on his compassion? InterludeAnd I said,“ This is my fate; the Most High has turned his hand against me.”But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago.

I say to myself,“ The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.And it is good for people to submit at an early age to the yoke of his discipline:Let them sit alone in silence beneath the Lord’s demands.Let them lie face down in the dust, for there may be hope at last.

I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word.
