I am the man who has seen misery Because of the rod of His wrath.

我是因耶和华忿怒的杖，遭遇困苦的人。

因耶和华愤怒的杖，我是遭遇困苦的人。

我在耶和华烈怒的杖下受尽痛苦。

主怒加責、使遭艱苦者、其人即我、

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of the Lord’s wrath.

I am a man who has suffered greatly. The Lord has used the Babylonians to punish my people.

I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of his wrath;

I am the one who has seen the afflictions that come from the rod of the Lord’s anger.

I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath.

I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.

I am the man who has experienced affliction from the rod of his wrath.

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

Your wrath has rested upon me, And You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah

Pity me, pity me, you friends of mine, For the hand of God has struck me.

I was miserable and about to die from my youth on; I suffer Your terrors; I grow weary.Your burning anger has passed over me; Your terrors have destroyed me.

So they took Jeremiah and threw him into the cistern of Malchijah the king’s son, which was in the courtyard of the guardhouse; and they let Jeremiah down with ropes. Now in the cistern there was no water but only mud, and Jeremiah sank into the mud.

I did not sit in a circle of revelers and celebrate. Because of Your hand upon me I sat alone, For You filled me with indignation.Why has my pain been endless And my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will You indeed be to me like a deceptive stream With water that is unreliable?

Cursed be the day when I was born; May the day when my mother gave birth to me not be blessed!Cursed be the man who brought the news To my father, saying,“ A boy has been born to you!” And made him very happy.But may that man be like the cities Which the Lord overthrew without relenting, And may he hear an outcry in the morning And an alarm for war at noon;Because he did not kill me before birth, So that my mother would have been my grave, And her womb forever pregnant.Why did I ever come out of the womb To look at trouble and sorrow, So that my days have been spent in shame?

He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.

You who have shown me many troubles and distresses Will revive me again, And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

“ Is it nothing to all you who pass this way? Look and see if there is any pain like my pain Which was inflicted on me, With which the Lord tormented me on the day of His fierce anger.From the height He sent fire into my bones, And it dominated them. He has spread a net for my feet; He has turned me back; He has made me desolate, Faint all day long.The yoke of my wrongdoings is bound; By His hand they are woven together. They have come upon my neck; He has made my strength fail. The Lord has handed me over To those against whom I am not able to stand.
