耶和華使迦勒底人的王起兵攻打他們，在他們的聖殿裡用刀擊殺他們的壯丁，毫不憐憫少男少女、老人和年高者。耶和華把他們全部交在他的手中。

「你滿懷憤怒地追趕我們，毫不留情地殺戮我們。

因此，我不再憐憫這地方的居民，我要使他們落在鄰人及其君王手中，任這地方被摧毀，必不從敵人手中拯救他們。這是耶和華說的。」

我要使他們彼此撞得粉碎，就算父子也要彼此相撞；我要毀滅他們，決不心慈手軟。』」

耶和華實現了祂的計劃，成就了祂很久以前的應許。祂毫不留情地毀滅了你，使你的仇敵幸災樂禍，耀武揚威。

主毫不留情地毀滅雅各一切的住處，祂在烈怒中夷平猶大的堡壘，讓以色列及其首領蒙羞。

因此，我必憤怒地對待他們，我必不顧惜他們，也不憐憫他們，即使他們大聲向我呼求，我也不聽。」

然後，我要把猶大王西底迦及其臣僕以及城中逃過瘟疫、戰爭和饑荒的人都交給巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒等仇敵，使他們落在想殺滅他們的人手中。巴比倫王必殘酷無情地殺戮他們。這是耶和華說的。』

祂使自己的子民被刀劍殺戮，向自己的產業大發怒氣。青年被烈火吞噬，少女無法婚嫁。

你現在要去攻打他們，徹底消滅他們和他們擁有的一切，把男女老幼、牛羊駱駝和驢全部殺掉，一個不留。』」

他們面目猙獰，不尊重年老的，也不憐憫年少的。

打碎戰車和車夫，打碎男人和婦女，打碎老人和小孩，打碎少男和少女，

我聽見祂對其餘的人說：「你們要跟隨他走遍全城，毫不留情地殺戮，將男女老幼全部殺盡，但你們不能傷害額上有記號的。你們要從聖所開始。」於是他們首先殺了殿前的眾長老。

諭旨由信差送到王的各省，限令在一天之內，即十二月，也就是亞達月十三日，把猶太人的男女老少全部剷除、殺光、滅盡，並奪取他們的財物。

因為死亡從窗戶爬進我們的城堡，吞滅街上的孩童和廣場上的青年。

主耶和華說：「因為你們用一切可憎的偶像和惡行玷污我的聖所，我憑我的永恆起誓，我必毫不留情地剷除你們。

因此，我必不顧惜他們，也不憐憫他們，我必照他們的所作所為報應他們。」

「但耶和華是公義的，因為我違背了祂的命令。萬國啊，請聽我的話，看看我的痛苦！我的年輕男女都被擄去。

用刀殺了城裡所有的男女老少、牛羊和驢。

因此，願他們喪身刀下，兒女餓死，妻子喪夫亡子，年長的被殺，年少的死於戰場！

耶和華啊，我怒你所怒，無法容忍。耶和華說：「你把我的怒氣發向街頭的孩童和聚集成群的青年。丈夫、妻子和老人都要一同被擄。

我必不顧惜你，也不憐憫你，我必按你的惡行報應你。這樣，你就知道懲罰你的是我耶和華。

樹枝枯乾斷落，婦女拿去作柴燒。因為以色列人愚昧無知，所以他們的創造主不憐憫他們，也不向他們施恩。

我必不顧惜你，也不憐憫你，我必按你的惡行報應你。這樣，你必知道我是耶和華。』」

「我在你們中間降下瘟疫，如從前降在埃及一樣。我殺戮你們的青年，擄掠你們的戰馬，使你們軍營中的死屍臭味撲鼻。儘管如此，你們仍不歸向我。這是耶和華說的。

「主藐視我所有的勇士，召集軍隊攻擊我，打垮我的青年。主踐踏猶大人，如同在榨酒池踩踏。
