The enemy laid hands on all her treasures; she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary— those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.

Jerusalem’s enemies took away all her treasures. Her people saw outsiders enter her temple. The Lord had commanded them not to do that.

The enemy has stretched out his hands over all her precious things; for she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, those whom you forbade to enter your congregation.

The enemy has plundered her completely, taking every precious thing she owns. She has seen foreigners violate her sacred Temple, the place the Lord had forbidden them to enter.

The adversary has seized all her precious belongings. She has even seen the nations enter her sanctuary— those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.

The adversary has stretched out his hand Over all her precious things, For she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, The ones whom You commanded That they were not to enter Your congregation.

你们除了行这一切可憎的事之外，还在你们把脂肪和血献给我作食物的时候，把身心都未受割礼的外族人带进我的圣所，玷污了我的殿，违背了我的约。

“当你们看见‘那造成荒凉的可憎者’，站在不该站的地方（读者必须领悟），那时，住在犹太的应当逃到山上；

耶和华殿的铜柱，以及耶和华殿的铜座和铜海，迦勒底人都打碎了，把所有的铜都运到巴比伦去。他们又把锅、铲子、烛剪、碗、碟子，和敬拜用的一切铜器都拿去了。此外，碗盆、火鼎、碗、锅、灯台、碟子和奠酒的爵，无论是金的或是银的，护卫长都拿去了。所罗门王为耶和华的殿所做的两根铜柱、一个铜海、铜海下面的十二头铜牛，和十个铜座，这一切器皿的铜，重得无法可称。

他放火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，以及耶路撒冷一切房屋，一切高大的房屋，他都放火烧了。

神啊！外族人侵入你的产业，污秽了你的圣殿，使耶路撒冷成为废墟。（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）他们把你仆人的尸首，给空中的飞鸟啄食；把你圣民的肉，给地上的野兽吞噬。他们在耶路撒冷的周围把圣民的血像水一般倒出，没有人埋葬他们。我们成为邻国羞辱的对象，成为四周的人嗤笑和讥刺的目标。耶和华啊！要到几时呢？你要永远怀怒吗？你的愤恨要像火焚烧吗？愿你把你的烈怒，倾倒在不认识你的外族人，和不求告你名的列国身上。因为他们吞吃了雅各，使他的住处荒凉。

所以我的人民因无知被掳去；他们的尊贵人十分饥饿；他们的群众极其干渴。故此，阴间扩张它的咽喉，张大它的口，没有限量；耶路撒冷城的荣耀（“荣耀”或译：“贵族”）、群众、喧嚷的人和在城中作乐的人，都要下到阴间。

你的圣民不过暂时得着你的圣所，我们的敌人已经践踏了你的圣所。

我要把这城的一切财物、一切劳碌得来的、一切珍宝和犹大列王的一切宝物，都交在他们仇敌的手中；仇敌要把这一切抢劫掠夺，带回巴比伦去。

我必转脸不看他们，让他们亵渎我的圣所。强盗要进那里去，亵渎那地方。

因你在四境之内所犯的一切罪，我必把你的财产和宝物，白白给敌人作掠物。

他又对他们说：“你们要玷污这殿，使这些院子充满被杀的人；你们出去吧！”于是他们出去，在城中进行杀戮。
