as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the Israelites. He built it according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses— an altar of uncut stones, on which no iron tool had been used. On it they offered to the Lord burnt offerings and sacrificed fellowship offerings.

Moses, the servant of the Lord, had commanded the Israelites to do that. Joshua built the altar according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses. Joshua built the altar out of stones that iron tools had never touched. Then the people offered on the altar burnt offerings to the Lord. They also sacrificed friendship offerings on it.

just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the people of Israel, as it is written in the Book of the Law of Moses,“ an altar of uncut stones, upon which no man has wielded an iron tool.” And they offered on it burnt offerings to the Lord and sacrificed peace offerings.

當以土築壇、獻牛羊為燔祭、臚陳其上、亦為酬恩之祭。凡我使人至籲我名之所、我必臨格、而錫嘏焉。如以石築壇、而奉事我、則毋雕鏤、用器造作、即為污衊。

必以石築祭壇、奉爾上帝耶和華、毋用鐵器造作、毋雕鏤石、以築斯壇、必獻燔祭於其上、奉事爾上帝耶和華、亦獻酬恩之祭、在彼式食、欣喜歡忭、於爾上帝耶和華前。

昔耶和華以名賜雅各、稱為以色列、其子分為十二支派、以利亞取石、循其支派之數、以築祭壇、奉事耶和華、壇之四周作溝環繞、可容穀六斗。

遂取燔祭之牛羊、按民世系、以匪頒之、俾獻耶和華、循摩西書所載、

約書亞誦律法諸言、無論祝福咒詛、俱循所載。摩西所命者、約書亞於以色列會眾、與其妻孥賓旅前、悉誦、不遺一詞。

斯時人誦摩西書、俾民僉聞、書云、摩押、亞捫二族、世不得入上帝會。

祭司長希勒家告繕寫沙番曰、我在耶和華殿、得律例之書。希勒家遞書與沙番、沙番讀焉。

俾祭司利未人、循其班列、在耶路撒冷、奉事上帝、遵摩西之書所載。

弗及其嗣、循摩西律例所載、耶和華命云、不可因子殺父、因父殺子、各任其罪以就戮。

遣以色列族少者、獻燔祭、亦獻牛為酬恩之祭、奉事耶和華。

若撒但逐撒但、是自相分爭也、其國何以立哉、

弗及其嗣、循摩西律例所載耶和華命、云、不可因子殺父、因父殺子、各任其罪以就戮。

葉羅遂燔牲獻祭、奉事上帝、亞倫及以色列長老咸集、與葉羅食餅於上帝前。○

律例之書、當口誦不輟、晝夜思維、遵行所載、可得坦途、而蒙福祉。
