弟兄们，论到时候、日期，不用写信给你们，因为你们自己明明晓得，主的日子来到，好像夜间的贼一样。人正说“平安稳妥”的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同产难临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝不能逃脱。

琐安的首领极其愚昧；法老大有智慧的谋士，所筹划的成为愚谋。你们怎敢对法老说：“我是智慧人的子孙，我是古王的后裔？”

在想不到的日子，不知道的时辰，那仆人的主人要来，

这话在王口中尚未说完，有声音从天降下，说：“尼布甲尼撒王啊，有话对你说，你的国位离开你了。

原来人也不知道自己的定期。鱼被恶网圈住，鸟被网罗捉住，祸患忽然临到的时候，世人陷在其中也是如此。

不知不觉洪水来了，把他们全都冲去。人子降临也要这样。

以下所记的是摩西在约旦河东的旷野、疏弗对面的亚拉巴，就是巴兰、陀弗、拉班、哈洗录、底撒哈中间，向以色列众人所说的话。（
