約書亞謂民眾曰、凡主諭我諸言、此石皆聞之、可對我儕作證、如爾違主爾之天主、有此石對爾作證、

“ See!” he said to all the people.“ This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.”

“ Look!” he said to all the people.“ This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has spoken to us. Suppose you aren’t faithful to your God. Then the stone will be a witness against you.”

And Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord that he spoke to us. Therefore it shall be a witness against you, lest you deal falsely with your God.”

Joshua said to all the people,“ This stone has heard everything the Lord said to us. It will be a witness to testify against you if you go back on your word to God.”

And Joshua said to all the people,“ You see this stone— it will be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words the LORD said to us, and it will be a witness against you, so that you will not deny your God.”

Then Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, because it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us; so it shall be a witness against you, so that you do not deny your God.”

曰、吾語汝、若輩緘默、石能言矣、○

流便伽得族名斯壇曰證、蓋曰、耶和華為上帝在我之間、以是壇為證也。

但在爾我間、及爾後代我後代間為證、使我役事耶和華、獻燔祭禮物、酬恩之祭於其前、則爾子孫不得謂我子孫云、汝與耶和華無與。故我曰、嗣後如有人以此言委我、或我子孫、則我可語、試視我祖所作耶和華壇之式、非為燔祭祀品、乃在爾我間為證。

以此律法之書、置於爾上帝耶和華法匱之旁、以為證。

天其聞之、地其聽之、耶和華曰、我養民如保赤子、而反忤逆。

其畧曰、天其俯聞、我將有言、地其傾聽、我以口誦、

我畏上帝之威、恐其譴我。

若同忍難、必同乘權、我若拒主、主必拒我、我雖不信、主無不信、必不食言、

撒母耳取石立於米斯巴善間、稱其名以便以設、曰、延及此時、耶和華助我。

凡拒我於人前、我亦拒之於我天父前、

恐富而侈、不崇事耶和華、或貧而盜、妄發誓言。

我誓以斯土錫於斯民、未導入彼之時、已知其性情、必作不端、迨厥子孫遭難遇害、不可勝數、必口誦斯歌、不致遺忘、斯歌亦可為證。○

壁中之石將呼、屋巔之梁將應、以訟爾罪、

若此者、言則識上帝、行則拒之、惟務違逆、自絕於善、可疾孰甚焉、

莫若爾我結盟、為憑。雅各遂取石立柱、亦謂戚族曰、爾可積石、乃群取石、積累為崗、共食於其上。拉班名之曰亦甲撒哈土大、雅各名之曰迦列、拉班曰、爾我間以此崗為憑、故亦名曰迦列。又名密士巴、蓋曰、爾我相暌隔時、耶和華為眷佑。爾若負吾女、別有所娶、人雖不知、而上帝監之。拉班謂雅各曰、可觀此崗、爾我間所立之柱。此崗此柱可為憑、我不越此崗害爾、爾亦不越此崗害我。

今作謳歌、誨以色列族、使其口誦、我佑斯民、而斯民違我、以歌為證。

我今指天地以立證、我以生命死亡、純嘏咒詛、置於爾前、爾簡生命、俾得爾生、爰及子孫。

我今日指天地以作證、爾於所得約但之西境、不能延命、乃必滅甚速、至於盡亡。

我知爾所為、余闢門於爾前、無人能闔之、爾力雖微、已守我道、不拒我名、
