约书亚对全体人民说：“看哪，这块石头可以向我们作证，因为它听见了耶和华对我们所说的一切话；所以这块石头要向你们作证，免得你们否认你们的神。”

约书亚对百姓说：“看哪，这石头可以向我们作见证；因为是听见了耶和华所吩咐我们的一切话，倘或你们背弃你们的神，这石头就可以向你们作见证。”

约书亚对众百姓说：“看哪，这石头可以向我们作见证，因为它听见了耶和华所吩咐我们的一切话；这石头将向你们作见证，免得你们背叛你们的上帝。”

“ See!” he said to all the people.“ This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the Lord has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.”

And Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord that he spoke to us. Therefore it shall be a witness against you, lest you deal falsely with your God.”

Joshua said to all the people,“ This stone has heard everything the Lord said to us. It will be a witness to testify against you if you go back on your word to God.”

And Joshua said to all the people,“ You see this stone— it will be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words the LORD said to us, and it will be a witness against you, so that you will not deny your God.”

Then Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, because it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us; so it shall be a witness against you, so that you do not deny your God.”

耶稣说：“我告诉你们，他们若不出声，石头都要呼叫了。”

流本人和迦得人给那坛起名叫证坛，因为他们说：“这坛在我们中间证明耶和华是神。”

而是为了在你们和我们中间，也在我们的后代中间作证据，使我们也可以在耶和华面前用燔祭、别的祭和平安祭事奉耶和华，免得你们的子孙将来对我们的子孙说：你们与耶和华无分了。’因此我们说：‘将来有人对我们，或是对我们的后代这样说，我们就可以回答：你们看我们列祖所筑的坛，是耶和华的祭坛的模式，这并不是用来献燔祭，也不是用来献别的祭，而是在我们和你们中间作证据。’

“你们要把这律法书，放在耶和华你们的神的约柜旁，可以在那里作反对你们的见证，

诸天哪！要听。大地啊！要留心听。因为耶和华说：“我把孩子养育，使他们成长，他们却背叛了我。

“天哪，留心吧，我要说话；地啊，聆听我口中的言语。

因为神所降的灾难使我恐惧，因他的崇高我不敢妄为。

我们若能坚忍，就必与他一同作王；我们若不认他，他必不认我们；我们纵然不信，他仍然是信实的，因为他不能否定自己。”这话是可信的。

撒母耳搬来了一块石头，把它竖立在米斯巴和善之间，给这块石头起名叫以便以谢，说：“直到现在，耶和华都帮助我们。”

在人面前不认我的，我在我天父面前也要不认他。

免得我吃饱了，就不认你，说：‘耶和华是谁？’又恐怕我贫穷，就偷窃，污渎了我神的名。

他们遭遇许多灾祸和患难的时候，这首诗歌就必在他们面前作证，因为这首诗歌必不会从他们后裔的口中忘记。其实，我还未领他们进入我起誓应许之地以先，他们今日心里所怀的意念，我都知道了。”

石头必从墙里呼叫，梁木必在树中应声。

他们声称认识神，却在行为上否认他。他们是可憎的、悖逆的，在各样的善事上，是毫无用处的。

来吧，现在我和你可以立约，作为你我之间的证据。”雅各就拿了一块石头，立作石柱。雅各又对自己的众兄弟说：“你们把石头堆聚起来。”他们就把石头拿来，堆成了一堆。他们又在石堆旁边吃喝。拉班称那石堆为伊迦尔．撒哈杜他，雅各却称那石堆为迦累得。拉班说：“今天这堆石头是你我之间的证据。”因此它名叫迦累得，又名叫米斯巴，因为拉班说：“我们彼此分离以后，愿耶和华在你我中间鉴察。你若苦待我的女儿，或在我的女儿以外，另娶妻子，虽然没有人在我们中间作证，但你要注意，神就是你我之间的见证人。”拉班又对雅各说：“你看这堆石头，看我在你我之间所竖立的石柱。这堆石头就是证据，这石柱也是证据：我决不越过这石堆到你那里去，你也决不可越过这石堆和石柱，到我这里来害我。

所以，现在你们要为自己写下这首诗歌来，教导以色列人，放在他们口中，使这首诗歌成为我反对他们的见证。

我今日呼天唤地向你们作证，我把生与死，福与祸，都摆在你面前了；所以你要选择生命，好让你和你的后裔都可以活着，

我今日就呼天唤地向你们作证，你们必在过约旦河取得为业的地上迅速灭亡；你们必不能在那地长久生存，必全被消灭。

我知道你的行为，看哪！我已经在你面前给你一道开着的门，是没有人能关的；因为你有一点点力量，也遵守我的道，没有否认我的名。
