They were glad to hear the report and praised God. And they talked no more about going to war against them to devastate the country where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived.

The people were glad to hear the report. They praised God. They didn’t talk anymore about going to war against the eastern tribes. And they didn’t talk anymore about destroying the country where the tribes of Reuben and Gad lived.

And the report was good in the eyes of the people of Israel. And the people of Israel blessed God and spoke no more of making war against them to destroy the land where the people of Reuben and the people of Gad were settled.

And all the Israelites were satisfied and praised God and spoke no more of war against Reuben and Gad.

The Israelites were pleased with the report, and they blessed God. They spoke no more about going to war against them to ravage the land where the Reubenites and Gadites lived.

The word pleased the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel blessed God; and they did not speak of going up against them in battle to destroy the land in which the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad were living.

The thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and spoke no more of going up against them to war, to destroy the land in which the children of Reuben and the children of Gad lived.

于是这隐秘的事在夜间的异象中给但以理显明了。但以理就称颂天上的神。

大卫对全体会众说：“你们应当称颂耶和华你们的神。”于是全体会众就称颂耶和华他们列祖的神，俯伏敬拜耶和华和王。

西面就把他接到手上，称颂神说：

非尼哈祭司和会众的领袖，以及与祭司同来的以色列的统领，听了流本人、迦得人和玛拿西人说的话，都很满意。

大家都静默无声，听巴拿巴和保罗述说神藉着他们在外族人中所行的神迹奇事。

大卫对亚比该说：“耶和华以色列的神是应当称颂的！他今天差派你来迎接我。你的智慧和你的为人也是应当称赞的，因为你今天阻止了我流人的血，又阻止了我亲手报仇。

提摩太刚刚从你们那里回来，把你们信心和爱心的好消息带给我们。他还说，你们常常怀念我们，切切想见我们，好像我们想见你们一样。所以弟兄们，我们在这一切困苦患难中，因着你们的信心就得了安慰。如果你们在主里站立得稳，我们就可以活下去了。

不但藉着他来，也藉着他从你们所得的安慰，安慰了我们。他把你们的渴望、你们的哀恸和你们对我的热诚，都告诉了我们，因此我就更加欢喜了。

众人读了，因信上的劝勉，就感到欣慰。

我们主耶稣基督的父神是应当称颂的。他在基督里，曾经把天上各种属灵的福分赐给我们：

以斯拉在众人眼前展开那书卷；他高高地站在众民以上，他把书卷展开，众民就站起来。以斯拉称颂耶和华至大的神，众民举手应声说：“阿们！阿们！”然后跪下，脸伏在地，敬拜耶和华。
