They were glad to hear the report and praised God. And they talked no more about going to war against them to devastate the country where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived.

The people were glad to hear the report. They praised God. They didn’t talk anymore about going to war against the eastern tribes. And they didn’t talk anymore about destroying the country where the tribes of Reuben and Gad lived.

And the report was good in the eyes of the people of Israel. And the people of Israel blessed God and spoke no more of making war against them to destroy the land where the people of Reuben and the people of Gad were settled.

And all the Israelites were satisfied and praised God and spoke no more of war against Reuben and Gad.

The Israelites were pleased with the report, and they blessed God. They spoke no more about going to war against them to ravage the land where the Reubenites and Gadites lived.

The word pleased the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel blessed God; and they did not speak of going up against them in battle to destroy the land in which the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad were living.

這奧秘在夜間的異象中向但以理顯明，他便頌讚天上的上帝，

大衛對全體會眾說：「你們要頌讚你們的上帝耶和華。」於是，全體會眾頌讚他們祖先的上帝耶和華，向耶和華和王俯伏下拜。

就把祂抱過來，稱頌上帝說：

祭司非尼哈和以色列會眾的族長聽了他們的解釋，都很滿意。

眾人都沉默不語，繼續聽巴拿巴和保羅敘述上帝藉著他們在外族人中所行的神蹟奇事。

大衛對亞比該說：「以色列的上帝耶和華當受稱頌！祂今天派你來見我。你很有見識，你今天攔阻我親手殺人復仇，值得稱讚。

現在，提摩太剛從你們那裡回來，把有關你們信心和愛心的好消息告訴了我們。他說你們常常思念我們，很想見到我們，就像我們渴望見到你們一樣。弟兄姊妹，你們的信心使我們在萬般困苦和患難中得到了激勵。得知你們靠著主堅定不移，我們現在感到振奮。

我們得到激勵，不但是因為提多來了，也因為看到他從你們那裡得到了激勵。他把你們對我的想念、對我的熱心以及你們的哀痛都告訴了我，這使我更加歡喜。

眾人讀過這封信之後，都因信中勸勉的話而歡喜。

讚美我們主耶穌基督的父上帝！祂在基督裡賜給了我們天上各樣屬靈的恩福。

以斯拉站在高處，他在全體會眾面前一打開書卷，他們都站了起來。以斯拉稱頌偉大的上帝耶和華，全體民眾都舉手應聲說：「阿們！阿們！」他們又面伏於地，俯伏敬拜耶和華。
