but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.”

You will also have the central hill country. It’s covered with trees. Cut them down and clear the land. That whole land from one end to the other will belong to you. The Canaanites use chariots that have iron parts. And those people are strong. But you can drive them out.”

but the hill country shall be yours, for though it is a forest, you shall clear it and possess it to its farthest borders. For you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong.”

The forests of the hill country will be yours as well. Clear as much of the land as you wish, and take possession of its farthest corners. And you will drive out the Canaanites from the valleys, too, even though they are strong and have iron chariots.”

既是这样，还有什么说的呢？神若帮助我们，谁能敌挡我们呢？

所以我们可以放胆说：“主是帮助我的，我必不惧怕；人能把我怎么样呢？”

然而，靠着爱我们的主，在这一切的事上已经得胜有余了。

窥探地的人中，嫩的儿子约书亚和耶孚尼的儿子迦勒撕裂衣服，对以色列全会众说：“我们所窥探、经过之地是极美之地。耶和华若喜悦我们，就必将我们领进那地，把地赐给我们；那地原是流奶与蜜之地。但你们不可背叛耶和华，也不要怕那地的居民；因为他们是我们的食物，并且荫庇他们的已经离开他们。有耶和华与我们同在，不要怕他们！”

“你出去与仇敌争战的时候，看见马匹、车辆，并有比你多的人民，不要怕他们，因为领你出埃及地的耶和华你神与你同在。你们将要上阵的时候，祭司要到百姓面前宣告说：‘以色列人哪，你们当听，你们今日将要与仇敌争战，不要胆怯，不要惧怕战兢，也不要因他们惊恐；因为耶和华你们的神与你们同去，要为你们与仇敌争战，拯救你们。’

耶和华是我的亮光，是我的拯救，我还怕谁呢？耶和华是我性命的保障，我还惧谁呢？那作恶的就是我的仇敌，前来吃我肉的时候就绊跌仆倒。

于是，以色列人在拿弗他利山地分定加利利的基低斯；在以法莲山地分定示剑；在犹大山地分定基列亚巴（基列亚巴就是希伯仑）；

你不要害怕，因为我与你同在；不要惊惶，因为我是你的神。我必坚固你，我必帮助你；我必用我公义的右手扶持你。“凡向你发怒的必都抱愧蒙羞；与你相争的必如无有，并要灭亡。与你争竞的，你要找他们也找不着；与你争战的必如无有，成为虚无。因为我耶和华你的神必搀扶你的右手，对你说：不要害怕！我必帮助你。“你这虫雅各和你们以色列人，不要害怕！耶和华说：我必帮助你。你的救赎主就是以色列的圣者。看哪，我已使你成为有快齿打粮的新器具；你要把山岭打得粉碎，使冈陵如同糠秕。你要把它簸扬，风要吹去；旋风要把它刮散。你倒要以耶和华为喜乐，以以色列的圣者为夸耀。

这些王和他们的众军都出来，人数多如海边的沙，并有许多马匹车辆。这诸王会合，来到米伦水边，一同安营，要与以色列人争战。耶和华对约书亚说：“你不要因他们惧怕。明日这时，我必将他们交付以色列人全然杀了。你要砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的车辆。”

又从山顶延到尼弗多亚的水源，通到以弗仑山的城邑，又延到巴拉（巴拉就是基列耶琳）；

约书亚说：“你们如果族大人多，嫌以法莲山地窄小，就可以上比利洗人、利乏音人之地，在树林中砍伐树木。”约瑟的子孙说：“那山地容不下我们，并且住平原的迦南人，就是住伯善和属伯善的镇市，并住耶斯列平原的人，都有铁车。”

山地的一切居民，从黎巴嫩直到米斯利弗玛音，就是所有的西顿人，我必在以色列人面前赶出他们去。你只管照我所吩咐的，将这地拈阄分给以色列人为业。

“惟有我，是安慰你们的。你是谁？竟怕那必死的人，怕那要变如草的世人，却忘记铺张诸天、立定地基、创造你的耶和华。又因欺压者图谋毁灭要发的暴怒，整天害怕！其实那欺压者的暴怒在哪里呢？
