but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.”

You will also have the central hill country. It’s covered with trees. Cut them down and clear the land. That whole land from one end to the other will belong to you. The Canaanites use chariots that have iron parts. And those people are strong. But you can drive them out.”

既是這樣，我們對這一切還有甚麼話說呢？神若這樣為我們，誰能敵對我們呢？

所以我們可以放膽說：“主是我的幫助，我決不害怕，人能把我怎麼樣呢？”

但靠著愛我們的那一位，我們在這一切事上就得勝有餘了。

窺探那地的人中，有嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒；他們撕裂衣服，對以色列全體會眾說：“我們去窺探的那地，是十分美好的地方。耶和華若是喜悅我們，就必把我們領進那地，把那地賜給我們，那地原是流奶與蜜的地。只要你們不背叛耶和華，就不必怕那地的人，因為他們是我們的食物；蔭庇他們的，已經離開他們了，耶和華卻與我們同在；不要怕他們。”

“你出去和你的仇敵作戰的時候，看見馬匹、車輛和比你多的人群，你不要怕他們，因為那把你們從埃及地領上來的耶和華你的神，與你同在。你們快要上戰場的時候，祭司要上前來，對人民說話，對他們說：‘以色列人哪，你們要聽，你們今日快要和仇敵作戰，你們不要膽怯，不要懼怕，不要驚慌，不要因他們的緣故戰兢；因為耶和華你們的神和你們同去，要為你們攻打你們的仇敵，要拯救你們。’

耶和華是我的亮光，是我的救恩，我還怕誰呢？耶和華是我性命的避難所，我還懼誰呢？（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）那些作惡的，就是我的敵人、我的仇敵，他們逼近我，要吃我肉的時候，就絆跌仆倒。

於是以色列人在拿弗他利山地，把加利利的基低斯分別出來；在以法蓮山地，把示劍分別出來；在猶大山地，把基列．亞巴分別出來，基列．亞巴就是希伯崙；

不要懼怕，因為我與你同在；不要四處張望，因為我是你的神，我必堅固你，我必幫助你；我必用公義的右手扶持你。看哪！向你發怒的都必蒙羞受辱；與你相爭的人，都要如同無有，並要滅亡。與你爭競的人，你要尋找他們，卻找不著；與你交戰的人，都必如同無有，好像虛無。因為我，耶和華你們的神，緊握著你的右手，對你說：“不要懼怕，我必幫助你。”蟲子雅各啊！以色列人哪！你不要懼怕。我必幫助你；這是耶和華說的。你的救贖主，就是以色列的聖者。看哪！我要使你成為打糧的器具，又新，又鋒利，又有很多利齒；你要揚淨群山，把它們壓得粉碎，又使岡陵變成糠秕。你必簸揚它們，風要把它們吹去，旋風也要把它們吹散；但你要靠耶和華喜樂，以以色列的聖者誇耀。

這些王與他們所有的軍隊都一同出來，人數眾多，好像海邊的沙，還有很多馬匹和車輛。這些王都聯合起來，來到米倫水邊，在那裡一起安營，要與以色列人作戰。耶和華對約書亞說：“你不要因他們懼怕，因為明天這個時候，我必使他們全數在以色列人面前被殺；你要砍斷他們的馬蹄筋，焚燒他們的車輛。”

又從山頂轉到尼弗多亞的水泉，伸展到以弗崙山的眾城；又轉到巴拉，巴拉就是基列．耶琳；

約書亞對他們說：“如果你們族大人多，又嫌以法蓮山地過於窄小，就可以上森林區去，在比利洗人和利乏音人之地那裡自己砍伐樹木。”約瑟的子孫回答：“那山地容不下我們，並且住在谷地的所有迦南人，就是住在伯．善和屬於伯．善的市鎮的人，以及住在耶斯列谷的人，都有鐵車。”

從黎巴嫩直到米斯利弗．瑪音，所有住在山地的居民，就是所有的西頓人，我必在以色列人面前把他們趕出去。你只要照著我吩咐你的，把這地抽籤分給以色列人作產業。

“我，我耶和華是安慰你們的；你是誰，竟怕那會死的人，怕那被造如草的世人呢？你忘記了造你的耶和華，就是那展開諸天，奠定大地的根基的；又因那欺壓者準備行毀滅的時候所發的烈怒，你就終日不住懼怕呢？其實那欺壓者的烈怒在哪裡呢？
