『此後我們轉了身，按到蘆葦海的路向往前行、到曠野去、照永恆主所告訴我的；我們又在西珥山繞行了許多日子。

你要吩咐人民說：你們的族弟兄以掃的子孫、那住在西珥的、你們正要經過他們的地界；他們必懼怕你們，所以你們要極其謹慎。

於是以掃就住在西珥山。以掃就是以東。

雅各打發使者在他前面、往西珥地，以東鄉間，去見他哥哥以掃。
