to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below Hermon in the region of Mizpah.

Jabin sent the same message to the people of east Canaan and west Canaan. He sent it to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites. They lived in the central hill country. He also sent it to the Hivites who lived below Mount Hermon in the area of Mizpah.

他們彼此議論說：「我們到米斯巴聚集在耶和華面前的時候，各支派中誰沒有來呢？」原來，他們曾經起誓說：凡不到米斯巴聚集在耶和華面前的人都要被處死。

至於我，我要留在米斯巴，代表你們與迦勒底人會面。你們要儲備酒、夏天的果子和油，存放在器皿內，在你們所住的城邑生活。」

以色列人住在這些迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人當中，

我的新娘啊，跟我一起離開黎巴嫩，離開黎巴嫩吧！離開那獅豹出沒的亞瑪拿山頂、示尼珥山和黑門高峰吧！

你創造了南方和北方，他泊山和黑門山都向你歡呼。

當天使準備伸手毀滅耶路撒冷的時候，耶和華心生憐憫，就對滅命天使說：「夠了，住手吧！」當時，耶和華的天使正站在耶布斯人亞勞拿的麥場上。

其國土從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥一直到西雲山，即黑門山，

撒母耳把所有以色列人招聚到米斯巴耶和華那裡，

底連、米斯巴、約帖、

亞瑪力人住在南地，赫人、耶布斯人和亞摩利人住在山區，迦南人住在海邊和約旦河沿岸。」

又像黑門的甘露降在錫安山上。那裡有耶和華所賜的福氣，就是永遠的生命。

還殺了所有在米斯巴與基大利在一起的猶大人和那裡的迦勒底士兵。

他們又查問各支派中誰沒有到米斯巴聚集在耶和華面前，結果發現基列·雅比人缺席，

亞撒王令全國的猶大人出動，將巴沙修築拉瑪城的石頭和木材搬走，用來修建便雅憫的迦巴和米斯巴。

「你們的上帝耶和華帶領你們進入將要佔領的土地時，會為你們趕走赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人這七個比你們強大的民族。

耶利米就到米斯巴的基大利那裡，居住在留下來的人當中。

於是，從但到別示巴以及基列的全體以色列人萬眾一心，來到米斯巴，聚集在耶和華面前。

當時國中有亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人的後裔，
