於是日停月止、待民向敵復仇、是事載於雅煞珥書、日停天中不速入、約一終日、

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.

祂要使亞哈斯日晷上的日影後退十度。」果然，日影後退了十度。

你射出的箭閃閃發光，你的槍熠熠生輝，以致日月都停在天上。

並吩咐人教導猶大人唱這首弓歌。這首歌記在《雅煞珥書》上，歌詞說：

所到之處，天搖地動，日月昏暗，星辰無光。

因此，耶和華的戰記上說：「蘇法的哇哈伯，亞嫩河谷，

「你要為以色列人向米甸人報仇，之後你將歸到祖先那裡。」

日月昏暗，星辰無光。

那時，月亮必羞於露面，太陽必黯然無光，因為萬軍之耶和華必在錫安山，在耶路撒冷掌權，在祂子民的首領面前彰顯榮耀。

太陽、月亮啊，你們要讚美祂！閃亮的星辰啊，你們要讚美祂！

聖城裡不需要太陽和月亮的光照耀，因為有上帝的榮光照耀，羔羊就是聖城的燈。

參孫向耶和華禱告說：「主耶和華啊，求你眷顧我！上帝啊，求你再次賜給我力量，使我向非利士人報剜眼之仇。」

它們的聲音傳遍天下，它們的話語傳到地極。上帝在天上為太陽設立居所。

「以色列的首領身先士卒，民眾前仆後繼，你們要讚美耶和華！

要稱謝那位創造日月星辰的，因為祂的慈愛永遠長存。祂讓太陽管理白晝，因為祂的慈愛永遠長存。祂讓月亮星辰管理黑夜，因為祂的慈愛永遠長存。

白晝和黑夜都屬於你，你設立了日月。你劃定大地的疆界，又創造了盛夏和寒冬。

耶和華這樣垂聽一個人的祈求是空前絕後的，這是因為耶和華要為以色列爭戰。

敵人在從伯·和崙到亞西加的下坡路上逃竄的時候，耶和華降下大冰雹，被冰雹砸死的人比以色列人用刀殺死的還要多。

諭旨的抄本頒佈到各省，昭告各族，使猶太人在那天預備好向仇敵報仇。

太陽要變得昏暗，月亮要變得血紅。在耶和華偉大而可畏的日子來臨以前，這些事都會發生。

「當災難的日子一過，『太陽變黑，月亮無光，眾星隕落，天體震動。』

第四位天使將碗倒在太陽上，太陽就變得炙熱如火，可以灼傷人。人們被炙熱灼傷，就褻瀆掌管這些災禍的上帝的名，他們毫無悔意，不肯歸榮耀給上帝。

這樣，你們才是天父的孩子。因為祂讓陽光照好人也照壞人，降雨給義人也給惡人。

他們大聲喊著說：「聖潔真實的主宰啊，還要等多久呢？為什麼你還不審判地上那些屠殺我們的人，為我們伸冤呢？」

難道上帝聽到祂揀選的人晝夜呼求，不替他們伸冤嗎？難道祂會一直耽延不理嗎？

太陽要變得昏暗，月亮要變得血紅。這都要發生在主偉大榮耀的日子來臨以前。

羔羊揭開第六印的時候，我看見大地震發生了，太陽變得像黑毛布一樣黑，整個月亮變成血紅色，

第四位天使吹號的時候，太陽、月亮和星辰的三分之一都受到重擊，以致失去了光輝，於是日間的三分之一黯淡無光，夜間也是如此。
