昔有犯摩西律法者、若二三人為證、必殺之不恤、況蹂躪上帝子、以贖己之約之血為不潔、狎侮施恩之聖神、爾意其人受刑、當如何重哉、

其不欲我君之、而為我敵者、曳來誅於我前、○

今而後、兄弟賴主大力當剛健、

祭司侍於爾上帝耶和華前、以供役事、有人擅行、而不聽從、並不服於刑官、則必死毋赦、如是絕惡於以色列族中。

儆醒也、貞信也、剛健如丈夫也、

居上位者、眾宜服之、非上帝則無居位者、凡居位者、皆上帝所命、與居位者敵、是為逆上帝命、逆者必受罪、有司不令善人畏、使惡人畏、爾欲不畏居位者、惟行善、可得其褒、居位者、上帝僕也、原以益爾、行惡宜畏之、以其為上帝僕、柄不徒操、刑加作惡之人、此其所以當服之、豈惟刑故、吾心使然也、

民遂謂撒母耳曰、有言掃羅不可轄我者、當攜至殺之。
