神問約拿：“你因這棵蓖麻這樣發怒，對不對呢？”約拿說：“我發怒以至於死都是對的。”

神对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻发怒合乎理吗？”他说：“我发怒以至于死，都合乎理！”

上帝对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻这样发怒，对吗？”他说：“我发怒以至于死，都是对的！”

神对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻这样发怒，对吗？”他说：“我发怒以至于死，都是对的！”

上帝对约拿说：“你为这棵蓖麻大发脾气合理吗？”约拿回答说：“我就是气死了也合理。”

神问约拿：“你因这棵蓖麻这样发怒，对不对呢？”约拿说：“我发怒以至于死都是对的。”

神对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻就这样恼火，难道有理吗？”约拿说：“我恼火得要死，当然有理！”

上帝對約拿說：『你因這棵蓖麻樹來發怒對不對啊？』他說：『我發怒到死都是對的。』

神對約拿說：「你因這棵蓖麻就這樣惱火，難道有理嗎？」約拿說：「我惱火得要死，當然有理！」

上帝謂之曰、爾以蓖蔴而怒、宜乎、對曰、我怒至死、亦宜也、

上帝謂約拿曰、爾因蓖蔴、怒何烈與。對曰、吾誠怒甚、至於求死。

天主問約拿曰、爾因此基加恩怒豈宜乎、曰、我怒至於求死、亦宜也、我怒至於求死亦宜也或作我誠怒甚至於求死

But God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ It is,” he said.“ And I’m so angry I wish I were dead.”

But God spoke to Jonah. God said,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ It is,” Jonah said.“ In fact, I’m so angry I wish I were dead.”

But God said to Jonah,“ Do you do well to be angry for the plant?” And he said,“ Yes, I do well to be angry, angry enough to die.”

Then God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry because the plant died?”“ Yes,” Jonah retorted,“ even angry enough to die!”

Then God asked Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ Yes, it’s right!” he replied.“ I’m angry enough to die!”

But God said to Jonah,“ Do you have a good reason to be angry about the plant?” And he said,“ I have good reason to be angry, even to the point of death!”

Then God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?” And he said,“ It is right for me to be angry, even to death!”

And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

Then God asked Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ Yes,” he replied.“ It is right. I’m angry enough to die!”

And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry,[ even] unto death.

God said to Jonah,“ Are you really so very angry about the little plant?” And he said,“ I am as angry as I could possibly be!”

God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the vine?” He said,“ I am right to be angry, even to death.”

“我是微小的，可以回答你甚麼呢？我只好用手掩口。這說了一次，不再回答；說了二次就不再說。”

大利拉天天用話逼他，催他，以致他的心煩得要死。

你這因怒氣而撕裂自己的，難道大地要為你的緣故被丟棄，磐石要挪移離開原處嗎？

因為依照神的意思而有的憂傷，可以生出沒有懊悔的悔改，以致得救；世俗的憂傷卻會招致死亡。

在那些日子，人要求死，卻決不得死；切願要死，死卻遠離他們。

對他們說：“我的心靈痛苦得快要死了；你們留在這裡，與我一同警醒吧。”

煩惱殺死愚昧人，激情害死愚蒙人。

只是沒有看中該隱和他的禮物。該隱就非常忿怒，垂頭喪氣。耶和華對該隱說：“你為甚麼忿怒呢？你為甚麼垂頭喪氣呢？你若行得好，豈不可以抬起頭來嗎？你若行得不好，罪就伏在門口了；它要纏住你，你卻要制伏它。”該隱對他的弟弟亞伯說：“我們到田間去吧。”﹙《馬索拉文本》缺“我們到田間去吧”一句，現參照其他抄本及古譯本補上。﹚，該隱就起來襲擊他的弟弟亞伯，把他殺了。耶和華問該隱：“你的弟弟亞伯在哪裡？”他回答：“我不知道；難道我是看守我弟弟的嗎？”耶和華說：“你作了甚麼事呢？你弟弟的血有聲音從地裡向我呼叫。地開了口，從你手裡接受了你弟弟的血，現在你要從這地受咒詛。你種地，地也不再給你效力；你必在地上流離失所。”該隱對耶和華說：“我的刑罰太重，過於我所能擔當。看哪，今日你趕逐我離開這地，以致我要躲避你的面；我必在地上流離失所，遇見我的，都要殺我。”
