And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

神对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻发怒合乎理吗？”他说：“我发怒以至于死，都合乎理！”

上帝对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻这样发怒，对吗？”他说：“我发怒以至于死，都是对的！”

神对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻这样发怒，对吗？”他说：“我发怒以至于死，都是对的！”

上帝对约拿说：“你为这棵蓖麻大发脾气合理吗？”约拿回答说：“我就是气死了也合理。”

神问约拿：“你因这棵蓖麻这样发怒，对不对呢？”约拿说：“我发怒以至于死都是对的。”

神对约拿说：“你因这棵蓖麻就这样恼火，难道有理吗？”约拿说：“我恼火得要死，当然有理！”

上帝對約拿說：『你因這棵蓖麻樹來發怒對不對啊？』他說：『我發怒到死都是對的。』

神對約拿說：「你因這棵蓖麻就這樣惱火，難道有理嗎？」約拿說：「我惱火得要死，當然有理！」

上帝謂之曰、爾以蓖蔴而怒、宜乎、對曰、我怒至死、亦宜也、

上帝謂約拿曰、爾因蓖蔴、怒何烈與。對曰、吾誠怒甚、至於求死。

天主問約拿曰、爾因此基加恩怒豈宜乎、曰、我怒至於求死、亦宜也、我怒至於求死亦宜也或作我誠怒甚至於求死

But God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ It is,” he said.“ And I’m so angry I wish I were dead.”

But God spoke to Jonah. God said,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ It is,” Jonah said.“ In fact, I’m so angry I wish I were dead.”

But God said to Jonah,“ Do you do well to be angry for the plant?” And he said,“ Yes, I do well to be angry, angry enough to die.”

Then God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry because the plant died?”“ Yes,” Jonah retorted,“ even angry enough to die!”

Then God asked Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ Yes, it’s right!” he replied.“ I’m angry enough to die!”

But God said to Jonah,“ Do you have a good reason to be angry about the plant?” And he said,“ I have good reason to be angry, even to the point of death!”

Then God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?” And he said,“ It is right for me to be angry, even to death!”

Then God asked Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”“ Yes,” he replied.“ It is right. I’m angry enough to die!”

And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry,[ even] unto death.

God said to Jonah,“ Are you really so very angry about the little plant?” And he said,“ I am as angry as I could possibly be!”

God said to Jonah,“ Is it right for you to be angry about the vine?” He said,“ I am right to be angry, even to death.”

Behold, I am of small account; What shall I answer thee? I lay my hand upon my mouth.Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; Yea, twice, but I will proceed no further.

And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, that his soul was vexed unto death.

Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, Shall the earth be forsaken for thee? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?

For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

And in those days men shall seek death, and shall in no wise find it; and they shall desire to die, and death fleeth from them.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.

For vexation killeth the foolish man, And jealousy slayeth the silly one.

but unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.And Jehovah said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?If thou doest well, shall it not be lifted up? and if thou doest not well, sin coucheth at the door: and unto thee shall be its desire; but do thou rule over it.And Cain told Abel his brother. And it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.And Jehovah said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: am I my brother’s keeper?And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.And now cursed art thou from the ground, which hath opened its mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;when thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth.And Cain said unto Jehovah, My punishment is greater than I can bear.Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the ground; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth; and it will come to pass, that whosoever findeth me will slay me.
