To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you, Lord my God, brought my life up from the pit.

詩之二章有云、爾乃我子、今日生爾、又云、我昔施實惠與大闢、亦將施爾、蓋聞上帝甦耶穌、不至朽壞也、詩有云、爾必不俾爾聖者朽壞、蓋大闢生時、遵上帝旨、卒則與祖同朽、惟上帝所甦者不朽、○

予也被殺歸墓、何益之有、一坯之土、安能頌爾名、稱爾道兮、

我肇基大地之時、汝安在、知則告我。誰為量度、誰為準繩、何地築址基、何人立四隅、當時星使欣咏、天神謳歌、海水初生、孰堤防之、若閉其門、其蔽以密雲、遮以靉靆、定其界址、設其門楗、語之曰、至此則可、不得越其防、爾之洪濤澎湃、至此而止者、非我乎。

我之忿怒如火之燎、燃於幽冥、爇其全地、偕土產以俱焚、並山基而同燬。

立於斯、大地震動、垂鑒察、民人戰慄、自昔以來、恆久之山嶽、皆主所造、今則見主而崩頹、渺然無蹤、

使水遍地、如衣被身、懷山襄陵兮、

主援我、免於死亡、復睹光明。
