其所至者前後若火、炎炎不已、未來之前、斯土與埃田相埒、既去之後、邦國變為曠野、得免於難者、卒無一人、

其所至之處、前若火焚、後若炎燬、未來之先、地如伊甸園、既去之後、地變荒墟、無有能避之者、

Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste— nothing escapes them.

Like fire they eat up everything in their path. Behind them it looks as if flames have burned the land. In front of them the land is like the Garden of Eden. Behind them it is a dry and empty desert. Nothing escapes them.

我要用旋風把他們吹散到陌生的萬國中，使他們的土地荒涼、杳無人跡，因為他們使美好的土地一片荒涼。』」

耶和華啊，我向你呼求，因為火焰吞滅了曠野的草場，烈火燒光了田野的樹木。田野的走獸向你呼求，因為溪水已經枯乾，火也燒盡了曠野的草場。

整個埃及鋪滿蝗蟲，地上一片黑暗。這些蝗蟲吃盡了冰雹過後剩下的農作物和樹上的果子，沒有留下一點青綠。

牠們鋪天蓋地，要吃光冰雹過後田間所剩的，包括一切樹木。

我們的上帝來臨，並非悄然無聲，祂前面有烈火燃燒，周圍有暴風怒吼。

連上帝園中的香柏樹也不能與它相比。松樹不能與它的枝幹相比，楓樹不能與它的枝條相比，主耶和華園中的樹木沒有一棵能與它媲美。我使它枝繁葉茂，美麗無比，以致上帝伊甸園裡的樹木都羡慕它。』

羅得舉目眺望，看見整個約旦河平原，遠至瑣珥，水源充足。在耶和華還沒有毀滅所多瑪和蛾摩拉之前，那地方就好像耶和華的伊甸園，又像埃及。

祂一發聲，就飛來無數蝗蟲和螞蚱，吃盡他們土地上的植物，吃盡他們田間的出產。

他們必吞噬你們的兒女、牛羊、糧食、葡萄和無花果，用刀劍摧毀你們所依靠的堅城。」

蝗蟲吃剩的，蝻子來吃；蝻子吃剩的，蚱蜢來吃；蚱蜢吃剩的，螞蚱來吃。醉漢啊，醒過來哭泣吧！貪杯的人啊，哀號吧！你們再無美酒可飲了。有一群兇猛的蝗蟲侵犯我的國土，牠們不計其數，有雄獅的獠牙和母獅的利齒。牠們毀壞我的葡萄樹和無花果樹，剝光樹皮，只留下光禿的樹枝。

以下是主耶和華讓我看見的異象：看啊，主耶和華降下審判的大火。大火燒乾了深海，正在吞噬土地。
