耶和华必安慰锡安，安慰锡安所有的废墟，使她的旷野如伊甸，使她的荒漠像耶和华的园子；其中必有欢喜和快乐，必有感谢和歌唱的声音。

让田野的一切野兽有水喝；野驴得以解渴。天空的飞鸟在水边安居，从枝叶中间发出声音。你从你的楼阁浇灌群山；因你作工的成果，大地就饱足。你使青草为牲畜长出来，又使蔬菜长出来供人需用，好使人能从地里得食物。

一切的眼目都仰望你，你按时赐给他们食物；你张开手，使一切有生命的都意愿满足。

你的公义如高大的群山，你的公正如巨大的深渊。耶和华啊，你使人和牲畜都得救助！

主必赐下雨水给你播在地里的种子，并要使地里出肥美丰盛的粮食。到那日，你的牲畜将在宽阔的草场上吃草；耕地的牛和驴将吃调过味的饲料，是用铲和叉扬净的。

所以，除了使之生长的神，那栽种的和那浇灌的都算不得什么。

万军之耶和华说：“你们要把当纳的十分之一全都带进库房，好使我的家中有粮食；藉此试验我是否会为你们打开天上的窗户，把祝福倾倒在你们身上，直到你们充足满溢。”万军之耶和华说：“我必为你们斥责吞噬者，使它不毁掉你们土地的出产，也不使你们田地中的葡萄树掉落果实。万国必称你们有福，因为你们必成为喜悦之地。”这是万军之耶和华说的。

更何况尼尼微大城，其中有超过十二万人不能分辨自己的左右手，还有许多牲畜，我难道不顾惜吗？”
