God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?

他心裏有智慧，且大有能力。誰向神剛硬而得亨通呢？

他心裏有智慧，且大有能力。誰向神剛硬而得平安呢？

祂充滿智慧，能力無比，誰能抗拒祂還可平安無恙？

他心裡有智慧，而且有極大的能力，有誰對他剛硬而平安無事呢？

他心裏有智慧，並且能力強大；誰向上帝強硬、還得安全呢？

其心明、其力強、自愎而敵之者、孰能亨通、

上帝具至智、有大能、違之者烏能得福。

天主心智力強、違之者孰可綏安、孰可綏安或作誰不受禍

His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out unscathed?

His wisdom is deep. His power is great. No one opposes him and comes away unharmed.

He is wise in heart and mighty in strength— who has hardened himself against him, and succeeded?—

For God is so wise and so mighty. Who has ever challenged him successfully?

God is wise and all-powerful. Who has opposed him and come out unharmed?

Wise in heart and mighty in strength, Who has defied Him without harm?

He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: Who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?—

God is wise and all-powerful. Who has opposed Him and come out unharmed?

[ He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened[ himself] against him, and hath prospered?

He is wise in heart and mighty in strength– who has resisted him and remained safe?

God who is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who has hardened himself against him and prospered?

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

“ Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

If it is a matter of strength, indeed He is strong; And if of justice, who will appoint my day in court?

He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,

Now look, God Himself is with us as our head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!”

and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

Then I would still have comfort; Though in anguish I would exult, He will not spare; For I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.

That He would show you the secrets of wisdom! For they would double your prudence. Know therefore that God exacts from you Less than your iniquity deserves.

To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever;

And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation.All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him,“ What have You done?”At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.

“ With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding.

But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him.Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.“ But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this.And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.Then the fingers of the hand were sent from Him, and this writing was written.“ And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it;TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting;PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain.

And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

Have you an arm like God? Or can you thunder with a voice like His?

for at this time I will send all My plagues to your very heart, and on your servants and on your people, that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth.Now if I had stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth.But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.As yet you exalt yourself against My people in that you will not let them go.

Daniel answered and said:“ Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His.

He wanders about for bread, saying,‘ Where is it?’ He knows that a day of darkness is ready at his hand.Trouble and anguish make him afraid; They overpower him, like a king ready for battle.For he stretches out his hand against God, And acts defiantly against the Almighty,Running stubbornly against Him With his strong, embossed shield.“ Though he has covered his face with his fatness, And made his waist heavy with fat,

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

Happy is the man who is always reverent, But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity.

O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—
