爾為此言、迄於何時、爾口之詞、有若狂風、伊於胡底、

爾所言如風之狂、伊於何底、

爾言此、爾口之辭如狂風、將至何時、

“ How long will you say such things? Your words are a blustering wind.

“ Job, how long will you talk like that? Your words don’t have any meaning.

“ How long will you say these things, and the words of your mouth be a great wind?

“ How long will you go on like this? You sound like a blustering wind.

How long will you go on saying these things? Your words are a blast of wind.

“ How long will you speak these things, And the words of your mouth be like a strong wind?

How long wilt thou speak these things? And how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a mighty wind?

How long will you go on saying these things? Your words are a blast of wind.

How long wilt thou speak these[ things]? and[ how long shall] the words of thy mouth[ be like] a strong wind?

“ How long will you speak these things, seeing that the words of your mouth are like a great wind?

“ How long will you speak these things? Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?

Do you intend to rebuke my words, When the words of one in despair belong to the wind?

“ Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, And fill himself with the east wind?

So He said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord was passing by! And a great and powerful wind was tearing out the mountains and breaking the rocks in pieces before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

Oh, that God would decide to crush me, That He would let loose His hand and cut me off!

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews says:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, so that they may serve Me.

“ Therefore I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

Then Pharaoh’s servants said to him,“ How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may serve the Lord their God. Do you not yet realize that Egypt is destroyed?”

“ How long, you naive ones, will you love simplistic thinking? And how long will scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge?

Is there no end to windy words? Or what provokes you that you answer?

“ Shall a multitude of words go unanswered, And a talkative man be acquitted?Shall your boasts silence people? And will you scoff, and no one rebuke?

“ How long will you torment me And crush me with words?These ten times you have insulted me; You are not ashamed to wrong me.

“ How long will you hunt for words? Show understanding, and then we can talk.
