Indeed, you have now become such, You see terrors and are afraid.

今爾曹亦若是、見我可畏之患難則懼、

Now you too have proved to be of no help; you see something dreadful and are afraid.

And now, my friends, you haven’t helped me either. You see the horrible condition I’m in. And that makes you afraid.

For you have now become nothing; you see my calamity and are afraid.

You, too, have given no help. You have seen my calamity, and you are afraid.

So this is what you have now become to me. When you see something dreadful, you are afraid.

For now you are nothing, You see terror and are afraid.

We applied healing to Babylon, but she was not healed; Abandon her and let’s each go to his own country, For her judgment has reached to heaven And it rises to the clouds.

“ And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of sexual immorality and lived luxuriously with her, will weep and mourn over her when they see the smoke of her burning,standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying,‘ Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’

Now when Job’s three friends heard about all this adversity that had come upon him, they came, each one from his own place— Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite; and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and comfort him.When they looked from a distance and did not recognize him, they raised their voices and wept. And each of them tore his robe, and they threw dust over their heads toward the sky.Then they sat down on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights, with no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great.
