To him that is afflicted pity[ should be shewed] from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.

“那将要灰心、离弃全能者、不敬畏神的人，他的朋友当以慈爱待他。

“灰心的人，他的朋友当以慈爱待他，因为他将离弃敬畏全能者的心。

“灰心的人，他的朋友当以慈爱待他，因为他将离弃敬畏全能者的心。

“即使绝望者抛弃对上帝的敬畏，也应该得到朋友的恩待。

朋友应该怜悯灰心的人，因为他舍弃了对全能者的敬畏。

那將要灰心、離棄全能者、不敬畏神的人，他的朋友當以慈愛待他。

「即使絕望者拋棄對上帝的敬畏，也應該得到朋友的恩待。

朋友應該憐憫灰心的人，因為他捨棄了對全能者的敬畏。

『不以慈愛待朋友的、是撇棄敬畏全能者的心。

人將頹敗、失其對全能者之寅畏、其友宜矜恤之、

人遭患難、其友必加矜憫、惟我友朋、不畏全能之主。

人遭患難、其友當加矜恤、不然、則為不敬畏全能之主、或作人遭患難雖不復畏全能之主其友亦當加矜恤

“ Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

“ A person shouldn’t stop being kind to a friend. Anyone who does that stops showing respect for the Mighty One.

“ He who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

“ One should be kind to a fainting friend, but you accuse me without any fear of the Almighty.

A despairing man should receive loyalty from his friends, even if he abandons the fear of the Almighty.

“ For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty.

“ To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

To him that is ready to faint kindness should be showed from his friend; Even to him that forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.

A despairing man should receive loyalty from his friends, even if he abandons the fear of the Almighty.

“ To the one in despair, kindness should come from his friend even if he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

“ To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

[ But] I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage[ your grief].

The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart,[ that there is] no fear of God before his eyes.For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.The words of his mouth[ are] iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise,[ and] to do good.

And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God[ is] not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them;[ and] them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?

Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.
