The Lord has done great things. All who take delight in those things think deeply about them.

I waited while you men spoke. I listened to your reasoning. While you were searching for words,I paid careful attention to you. But not one of you has proved that Job is wrong. None of you has answered his arguments.

Call out for the ability to be wise. Cry out for understanding.Look for it as you would look for silver. Search for it as you would search for hidden treasure.Then you will understand how to have respect for the Lord. You will find out how to know God.

“ You people think you are the only ones who matter! You are sure that wisdom will die with you!

What do you know that we don’t know? What understanding do you have that we don’t have?People who are old and gray are on our side. And they are even older than your parents!

If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you. If you make fun of others, you alone will suffer.
