約伯的三個朋友，提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法，聽說這一切的災禍臨到他身上，各人就從自己的地方相約同來，為他悲傷，安慰他。

駱駝喝足了，那人就拿出一個比加重的金環，一對十舍客勒重的金手鐲，

但我必用口堅固你們，顫動的嘴唇帶來舒解。

我豈說：『請你們供給我，從你們的財物中送禮給我』？或說：『請你們拯救我脫離敵人的手，救贖我脫離殘暴人的手』嗎？

你的言語曾扶助跌倒的人；你使軟弱的膝蓋穩固。

有好些猶太人來看馬大和馬利亞，要為她們弟弟的緣故安慰她們。

所以，你們要把下垂的手舉起來，發酸的腿挺直；

他的兒女都起來安慰他，他卻不肯受安慰，說：「我必哀傷着下陰間，到我兒子那裏。」約瑟的父親就為他哀哭。

要記念受監禁的人，好像與他們同受監禁；要記念受虐待的人，好像你們也親身受虐待一樣。

以色列人把從埃及所帶來約瑟的骸骨安葬在示劍，就是雅各從前用一百可錫塔向示劍的父親哈抹的眾子所買的那塊地；這塊地就成了約瑟子孫的產業。

但有些無賴之輩說：「這人怎麼能救我們呢？」他們就藐視他，不送禮物給他。掃羅卻保持沉默。

假如一個肢體受苦，所有的肢體就一同受苦；假如一個肢體得光榮，所有的肢體就一同快樂。

要與喜樂的人同樂；要與哀哭的人同哭。

人所行的若蒙耶和華喜悅，耶和華也使仇敵與他和好。

僕人拿出金器、銀器和衣服送給利百加，又將貴重的物品送給她哥哥和她母親。

你們要使軟弱的手強壯，使無力的膝蓋穩固；對心裏焦急的人說：「要剛強，不要懼怕。看哪，你們的神要來施報，要施行極大的報應，他必來拯救你們。」
