豈可繫之若鳥、為婢女所戲弄、

障其川流、得窺底蘊。

中心欣喜時、則曰、盍召參孫、以供我玩。遂召參孫、出之於獄、置兩柱間、使作戲劇、參孫謂相己之童曰、容捫室柱、我欲倚之。室中男女充斥、非利士人群伯亦在、至於室上亦有男女約三千人、觀參孫戲劇。參孫籲耶和華曰、祈耶和華上帝垂念我、賜我以力、惟此一次、因非利士人喪我明、我必速報斯仇。參孫執室之兩柱、一以左手、一以右手、曰、願與非利士人偕亡。盡施己力、室遂傾圯、群伯與眾民悉被壓。參孫死之日所殺者、較生時所戮者尤多。
