「你能用魚鈎釣上力威亞探嗎？能用繩子壓下牠的舌頭嗎？

「你能用魚鈎釣上力威亞探嗎？能用繩子壓下牠的舌頭嗎？

「你豈能用魚鉤釣鱷魚，用繩索綁住牠的舌頭？

“你能用魚鈎釣上鱷魚嗎？能用繩子把牠的舌頭壓下嗎？

你能用魚鈎釣上大鱷魚麼？能用繩子繫住牠的舌頭麼？

爾能以鉤釣鱷魚、以索制其舌、

若鱷魚則異是、爾能以鈎釣之、以索勒之、

爾能以鈎釣利未雅坦、利未雅坦有譯鱷魚以繩繫其舌乎、

“ Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope?

“ Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook or press down his tongue with a cord?

“ Can you catch Leviathan with a hook or put a noose around its jaw?

Can you pull in Leviathan with a hook or tie his tongue down with a rope?

“ Can you drag out Leviathan with a fishhook, And press down his tongue with a rope?

Canst thou draw out leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?

Can you pull in Leviathan with a hook or tie his tongue down with a rope?

Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord[ which] thou lettest down?

( 40: 25)“ Can you pull in Leviathan with a hook, and tie down its tongue with a rope?

“ Can you draw out Leviathan with a fish hook, or press down his tongue with a cord?

In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.

You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

May those curse it who curse the day, Those who are ready to arouse Leviathan.

There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan Which You have made to play there.
