Is not their excess wealth taken away from them? They die, yet without attaining wisdom.

他們帳棚的橛子一拔出，他們哪有不死去，毫無智慧地死去呢？」

其中幕索、非見奪乎、未得智慧、而隕亡焉、

顯庸之人、閱歷未深、而早沒世。

其中至尊至貴者、非亦長往乎、非皆死於愚昧之中乎、或作其生命之線既斷則死於無知之中

Are not the cords of their tent pulled up, so that they die without wisdom?’

Like a tent that falls down, they get weak. They die because they didn’t follow God’s wisdom.’ ”

Is not their tent-cord plucked up within them, do they not die, and that without wisdom?’

Their tent cords are pulled and the tent collapses, and they die in ignorance.

Are their tent cords not pulled up? They die without wisdom.

Is their tent cord not pulled out within them? They die, yet without wisdom.’

Does not their own excellence go away? They die, even without wisdom.’

Is not their tent- cord plucked up within them? They die, and that without wisdom.

Are their tent cords not pulled up? They die without wisdom.

Doth not their excellency[ which is] in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.

But if they refuse to listen, they pass over the river of death, and expire without knowledge.

Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”

Wealthy people do not understand; they are like animals that perish.

For the sun rises with its heat and dries up the meadow; the petal of the flower falls off and its beauty is lost forever. So also the rich person in the midst of his pursuits will wither away.

‘ Surely such is the residence of an evil man; and this is the place of one who has not known God.’”

Those who see you stare at you, they look at you carefully, thinking:“ Is this the man who shook the earth, the one who made kingdoms tremble?

Do not trust in princes, or in human beings, who cannot deliver!Their life’s breath departs, they return to the ground; on that day their plans die.

But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

You severely discipline people for their sins; like a moth you slowly devour their strength. Surely all people are a mere vapor.( Selah)

They will travel to Sheol like sheep, with death as their shepherd. The godly will rule over them when the day of vindication dawns; Sheol will consume their bodies and they will no longer live in impressive houses.

Stop trusting in human beings, whose life’s breath is in their nostrils. For why should they be given special consideration?

Look, you make my days short-lived, and my life span is nothing from your perspective. Surely all people, even those who seem secure, are nothing but vapor.
