Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire[ is, that] the Almighty would answer me, and[ that] mine adversary had written a book.

I wish that my words were written down, that they were recorded on a scrollor were inscribed in stone forever by an iron stylus and lead!

how much less when you complain that you do not see him, that your case is before him and you are waiting for him.

May my enemy be like the wicked and my opponent like the unjust.

Reach a settlement quickly with your adversary while you’re on the way with him to the court, or your adversary will hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will be thrown into prison.

I walk about blackened, but not by the sun. I stood in the assembly and cried out for help.

Vindicate me, LORD, because I have lived with integrity and have trusted in the LORD without wavering.

His anger burns against me, and he regards me as one of his enemies.

I cry out,“ Violence!” but get no response; I call for help, but there is no justice.

But he finds reasons to oppose me; he regards me as his enemy.He puts my feet in the stocks; he stands watch over all my paths.”

Why do you hide your face and consider me your enemy?

Yet I prefer to speak to the Almighty and argue my case before God.

Accept my pledge! Put up security for me. Who else will be my sponsor?

I am just like you before God; I was also pinched off from a piece of clay.
