耳聞我而祝嘏、目睹我而為證、

聞我者祝嘏、見我者揄揚、

Whoever heard me spoke well of me, and those who saw me commended me,

Everyone who heard me said good things about me. Those who saw me honored me.

When the ear heard, it called me blessed, and when the eye saw, it approved,

“ All who heard me praised me. All who saw me spoke well of me.

For when an ear heard, it called me blessed, And when an eye saw, it testified in support of me,

So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said,“ Is this not Joseph’s son?”

And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him,“ Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!”

If his heart has not blessed me, And if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
