What advice you have offered to one without wisdom! And what great insight you have displayed!

You haven’t offered advice to those who aren’t wise! In fact, you haven’t understood anything at all!

How you have counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

How you have enlightened my stupidity! What wise advice you have offered!

How you have counseled the unwise and abundantly provided insight!

What advice you have given to one without wisdom! What helpful insight you have abundantly provided!

How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge!

How you have counseled the unwise and thoroughly explained the path to success!

How hast thou counselled[ him that hath] no wisdom? and[ how] hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

How you have advised the one without wisdom, and abundantly revealed your insight!

How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

Indeed I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, while you searched out what to say.I paid close attention to you; And surely not one of you convinced Job, Or answered his words—Lest you say,‘ We have found wisdom’; God will vanquish him, not man.

Is my help not within me? And is success driven from me?

My words come from my upright heart; My lips utter pure knowledge.

If not, listen to me; Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.”

“ Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?

“ But please, come back again, all of you, For I shall not find one wise man among you.

Have you heard the counsel of God? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?What do you know that we do not know? What do you understand that is not in us?Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us, Much older than your father.

But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Indeed, who does not know such things as these?

For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, And from the opening of my lips will come right things;For my mouth will speak truth; Wickedness is an abomination to my lips.All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; Nothing crooked or perverse is in them.They are all plain to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge.

My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits.I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.

Hear this, all peoples; Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,Both low and high, Rich and poor together.My mouth shall speak wisdom, And the meditation of my heart shall give understanding.I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will disclose my dark saying on the harp.

Oh, that you would be silent, And it would be your wisdom!
