“ Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.

“ God is King. He should be feared. He establishes peace in the highest parts of heaven.

“ Dominion and fear are with God; he makes peace in his high heaven.

“ God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens.

Dominion and dread belong to him, the one who establishes harmony in his heights.

“ Dominion and awe belong to Him Who makes peace in His heights.

“ Dominion and fear belong to Him; He makes peace in His high places.

Dominion and fear are with him; He maketh peace in his high places.

Dominion and dread belong to Him, the One who establishes harmony in the heavens.

and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (niv)

he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. (niv)

“ Indeed, I know that this is true. But how can mere mortals prove their innocence before God?Though they wished to dispute with him, they could not answer him one time out of a thousand.His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out unscathed?He moves mountains without their knowing it and overturns them in his anger.He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble.He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; he seals off the light of the stars.He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south.He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. “ The dead are in deep anguish, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.The realm of the dead is naked before God; Destruction lies uncovered.He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.He wraps up the waters in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.He covers the face of the full moon, spreading his clouds over it.He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness.The pillars of the heavens quake, aghast at his rebuke.By his power he churned up the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.By his breath the skies became fair; his hand pierced the gliding serpent.And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. No one is like you, Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.Who should not fear you, King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise leaders of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you. (niv)

to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. (niv)

and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. (niv)

Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like his?Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty.Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at all who are proud and bring them low,look at all who are proud and humble them, crush the wicked where they stand.Bury them all in the dust together; shroud their faces in the grave.Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you. For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy:“ I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. (niv)

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (niv)

At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation.All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him:“ What have you done?”At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble. (niv)

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (niv)

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ (niv)
