There are those who move boundary stones; they pasture flocks they have stolen.

Some move landmarks; they seize flocks and pasture them.

Evil people steal land by moving the boundary markers. They steal livestock and put them in their own pastures.

The wicked displace boundary markers. They steal a flock and provide pasture for it.

People remove landmarks; They seize and devour flocks.

“ Some remove landmarks; They seize flocks violently and feed on them;

There are that remove the landmarks; They violently take away flocks, and feed them.

Don’t move your neighbor’s boundary stone. It was set up by people who lived there before you. It marks the border of a field in the land you will receive as your own. The Lord your God is giving you that land. You will take it over.

“ May anyone who moves their neighbor’s boundary stone be under the Lord’ s curse.” Then all the people will say,“ Amen!”

Don’t move old boundary stones. Don’t try to take over the fields of children whose fathers have died.

Don’t move old boundary stones set up by your people of long ago.

Judah’s leaders have stolen some land. They have moved their borders farther north. So I will pour out my anger on them like a flood of water.

Hungry people eat up the crops of the foolish. They even take the food that grows among thorns. Thirsty people long for the wealth of the foolish.

While he was still speaking, a third messenger came. He said,“ The Chaldeans separated themselves into three groups. They attacked your camels and carried them off. They killed the rest of the servants with their swords. I’m the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
