Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned.

干旱炎热消没雪水；阴间也如此消没犯罪之辈。

干旱炎热融化雪水；阴间也如此吞没犯罪的人。

干旱炎热融化雪水；阴间也如此吞没犯罪的人。

阴间吞噬犯罪之人，如同干热吞噬融雪。

干旱与炎热怎样消除雪水，阴间也这样除去犯罪的人。

乾旱炎熱消沒雪水；陰間也如此消沒犯罪之輩。

乾旱炎熱融化雪水；陰間也如此吞沒犯罪的人。

乾旱炎熱融化雪水；陰間也如此吞沒犯罪的人。

陰間吞噬犯罪之人，如同乾熱吞噬融雪。

乾旱與炎熱怎樣消除雪水，陰間也這樣除去犯罪的人。

乾旱炎熱奪取了雪水，使它乾涸；陰間也擄了罪惡之輩而使滅沒。

亢旱酷熱、消沒雪水、陰府消沒罪人、

亢陽酷暑、雪水漸消、惡者之入墓、亦若是。

雪水遇亢旱酷熱、立即消涸、有罪者下示阿勒示阿勒見七章九節小註亦若是、

As heat and drought snatch away the melted snow, so the grave snatches away those who have sinned.

Melted snow disappears when the air is hot and dry. And sinners disappear when they go down into their graves.

Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.

The grave consumes sinners just as drought and heat consume snow.

As dry ground and heat snatch away the melted snow, so Sheol steals those who have sinned.

Dryness and heat snatch away the snow waters, As Sheol snatches those who have sinned.

As drought and heat consume the snow waters, So the grave consumes those who have sinned.

Drought and heat consume the snow waters: So doth Sheol those that have sinned.

As dry ground and heat snatch away the melted snow, so Sheol steals those who have sinned.

Drought and heat consume the snow waters:[ so doth] the grave[ those which] have sinned.

The drought as well as the heat carry away the melted snow; so the grave takes away those who have sinned.

They spend their days in prosperity. In an instant they go down to Sheol.

They are appointed as a flock for Sheol. Death shall be their shepherd. The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. Their beauty shall decay in Sheol, far from their mansion.

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away. As wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

For to him who is joined with all the living there is hope; for a living dog is better than a dead lion.For the living know that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything, neither do they have any more a reward; for their memory is forgotten.Also their love, their hatred, and their envy has perished long ago; neither do they any longer have a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun.

The wicked is brought down in his calamity, but in death, the righteous has a refuge.

“ But God said to him,‘ You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared— whose will they be?’

The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried.

One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.

Yet he will be borne to the grave. Men will keep watch over the tomb.The clods of the valley will be sweet to him. All men will draw after him, as there were innumerable before him.So how can you comfort me with nonsense, because in your answers there remains only falsehood?”

Let them be like a snail which melts and passes away, like the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns, he will sweep away the green and the burning alike.

My brothers have dealt deceitfully as a brook, as the channel of brooks that pass away;Which are black by reason of the ice, in which the snow hides itself.In the dry season, they vanish. When it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
