凡作壞事的都恨光，不來就光，恐怕他的行為被訐發；

但這一點你們卻要曉得：家主若知道賊甚麼更次要來，他就要儆醒，不容他的房屋被挖透。

你要當他們眼前把牆挖通了，從那裏出去。到了天黑壓壓的時候，你要當他們眼前將物件搭在肩頭上帶出去；要把臉蒙住，使你看不見地；因為我立了你做以色列家的兆頭。』我就照所受吩咐的去行，大白日天把我的物件帶出去，好像流亡時應用的物件；到了傍晚、我親手把牆挖通；天黑壓壓的時候、我就當他們眼前把物件搭在肩頭上帶出去。

『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。

別一同有分於黑暗之無善果行為了；寧可訐發出來。因為他們隱密中所行的、就是說出來也可恥。但一切事受了訐發、都是被光所顯露；凡被顯露的便是光。

他們中間的人君必在天黑壓壓時將物件搭在肩頭上而出去；他必把牆挖通了，從那裏出去；他必將臉蒙住，使他不能以眼看到地。
