“ Others have been with those who rebel against the light; They do not want to know its ways Nor stay in its paths.

and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved.For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

And angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling place, these He has kept in eternal restraints under darkness for the judgment of the great day,

They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be evident that they all are not of us.

The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know over what they stumble.

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely upon the Law and boast in God,and know His will and distinguish the things that matter, being instructed from the Law,and are confident that you yourself are a guide to people who are blind, a light to those in darkness,a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the immature, possessing in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth—you, therefore, who teach someone else, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that one is not to steal, do you steal?You who say that one is not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who loathe idols, do you rob temples?You who boast in the Law, through your breaking the Law, do you dishonor God?For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.

And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accordance with his will, will receive many blows,but the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.

There is no one who understands, There is no one who seeks out God;They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, There is not even one.”“ Their throat is an open grave, With their tongues they keep deceiving,”“ The venom of asps is under their lips”;“ Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness”;“ Their feet are swift to shed blood,Destruction and misery are in their paths,And they have not known the way of peace.”

So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.The one who hates Me hates My Father also.If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.

“ He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart, so that they will not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and be converted, and so I will not heal them.”

If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

And Jesus said,“ For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.”Those who were with Him from the Pharisees heard these things and said to Him,“ We are not blind too, are we?”Jesus said to them,“ If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now that you maintain,‘ We see,’ your sin remains.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them.It has happened to them according to the true proverb,“ A dog returns to its own vomit,” and,“ A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.”

So Jesus said to them,“ For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; also, the one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.I have not failed the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples;

You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
