大邑之人歎息、傷者之心悲哀、惟此殘暴、上帝弗之顧也、

俾困苦者嘆息、傷心者呼籲、惡人橫逆如此、上帝不加以罪。

城中居民歎息、被傷者中心悲哀、或作城中將死者歎息被戮者之靈鳴冤乃天主不顧此等罪惡、

The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out for help. But God charges no one with wrongdoing.

The groans of those who are dying are heard from the city. Those who are wounded cry out for help. But God doesn’t charge anyone with doing what is wrong.

From out of the city the dying groan, and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God charges no one with wrong.

The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the wounded cry for help, yet God ignores their moaning.

From the city, men groan; the mortally wounded cry for help, yet God pays no attention to this crime.

From the city people groan, And the souls of the wounded cry for help; Yet God does not pay attention to the offensiveness.

我轉而觀看日光之下所發生的一切欺壓之事。看哪，受欺壓的流淚，無人安慰；欺壓他們的有權勢，也無人安慰。

你做了這些事，我閉口不言，你想我正如你一樣；其實我要責備你，將這些事擺在你眼前。

我的百姓既是白白地被擄，如今我在這裏做甚麼呢？這是耶和華說的。轄制他們的人歡呼，我的名終日不斷受褻瀆，這是耶和華說的。

因為你所擊打的，他們就迫害；你所擊傷的，他們述說他的愁苦。

耶和華說：「因為困苦人的冤屈和貧窮人的嘆息，我現在要起來，把他安置在他所切慕的穩妥之地。」

現在，我們稱狂傲的人為有福，並且行惡的人得以建立；他們雖然試探上帝，卻得以逃脫。」

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不知道他的恩慈是領你悔改嗎？你竟放任你剛硬不悔改的心，為自己累積憤怒！在憤怒的日子，上帝公義的審判要顯示出來。

以色列人就除掉他們中間的外邦神明，事奉耶和華。耶和華因以色列所受的苦難而心裏焦急。

因為他只有這一件用來作被子，是他蔽體的衣服。他還可以拿甚麼睡覺呢？當他哀求我，我就應允，因為我是有恩惠的。

若災禍忽然帶來死亡，他必戲笑無辜人的苦難。

過了許多年，埃及王死了。以色列人因做苦工，就嘆息哀求；他們因苦工所發出的哀聲達於上帝。上帝聽見他們的哀聲，就記念他與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約。

因為我困苦貧窮，內心受傷。

你們用言語使耶和華厭煩，卻說：「我們在何事上使他厭煩呢？」因為你們說：「凡行惡的，耶和華看為善，並且喜愛他們；」又說：「公平的上帝在哪裏呢？」

判罪之後不立刻執行，所以世人滿懷作惡的心思。罪人雖然作惡百次，倒享長壽；然而我也知道，福樂必臨到敬畏上帝的人，就是在他面前心存敬畏的人。

並且要以我們主的容忍作為你們得救的機會，就如我們所親愛的弟兄保羅，照着所賜給他的智慧寫信給你們。

埃及人嚴厲地強迫以色列人做工，使他們因苦工而生活痛苦；無論是和泥，是做磚，是做田間各樣的工，一切的工埃及人都嚴厲地對待他們。
