When they cast you down, and you say,‘ Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person.

人使你降卑，你仍可说：必得高升；谦卑的人，神必然拯救。

当人降卑，你说：是因骄傲；眼目谦卑的人，上帝必然拯救。

当人降卑，你说：是因骄傲；眼目谦卑的人，神必然拯救。

人遭贬抑时，你说，‘使他们升高吧。’上帝就会拯救他们，

人谦卑的时候，你就说：‘升高吧！’眼中谦卑的他必拯救，

When people are brought low and you say,‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.

When people are brought low you will say,‘ Lift them up!’ Then God will help them.

For when they are humbled you say,‘ It is because of pride’; but he saves the lowly.

If people are in trouble and you say,‘ Help them,’ God will save them.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When they have brought you low, you will speak with confidence, And He will save the humble person.

When they cast thee down, thou shalt say, There is lifting up; And the humble person he will save.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When[ men] are cast down, then thou shalt say,[ There is] lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

When people are brought low and you say‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast;

When they cast down, you will say,‘ be lifted up.’ He will save the humble person.

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:“ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly.

He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.In famine He shall redeem you from death, And in war from the power of the sword.You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, And you shall not be afraid of destruction when it comes.You shall laugh at destruction and famine, And you shall not be afraid of the beasts of the earth.For you shall have a covenant with the stones of the field, And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.You shall know that your tent is in peace; You shall visit your dwelling and find nothing amiss.You shall also know that your descendants shall be many, And your offspring like the grass of the earth.You shall come to the grave at a full age, As a sheaf of grain ripens in its season.Behold, this we have searched out; It is true. Hear it, and know for yourself.”

A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

Though the Lord is on high, Yet He regards the lowly; But the proud He knows from afar.

For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist,” Says the Lord.“ But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.

thus says the Lord GOD:“ Remove the turban, and take off the crown; Nothing shall remain the same. Exalt the humble, and humble the exalted.Overthrown, overthrown, I will make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, Until He comes whose right it is, And I will give it to Him.”’

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:“ Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself,‘ God, I thank You that I am not like other men— extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me a sinner!’I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

“ Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

For behold, Your enemies, O Lord, For behold, Your enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies; My ears hear my desire on the wicked Who rise up against me.

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.When my enemies turn back, They shall fall and perish at Your presence.

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
