“ Very well,” the Lord told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

永恆主對撒但說：『看哪，他都讓你手擺布；只是他的性命你卻要保存。』

耶和華曰、彼在爾手、惟存其生、

耶和華曰、任爾為之、勿喪其命。

The Lord said to Satan,“ Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”

The Lord said to Satan,“ All right. I am handing him over to you. But you must spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”

“ All right, do with him as you please,” the Lord said to Satan.“ But spare his life.”

“ Very well,” the LORD told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

So the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

And Jehovah said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thy hand; only spare his life.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he[ is] in thine hand; but save his life.

So the LORD said to Satan,“ All right, he is in your power; only preserve his life.”

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand. Only spare his life.”

“ Very well,” the Lord told Satan,“ everything he owns is in your power. However, you must not lay a hand on Job himself.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.

“ Simon, Simon, look out! Satan has asked to sift you like wheat.But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the Devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will have affliction for 10 days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was guarded, bound by chains and shackles, he would snap the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted places.“ What is your name?” Jesus asked him.“ Legion,” he said— because many demons had entered him.And they begged Him not to banish them to the abyss.A large herd of pigs was there, feeding on the hillside. The demons begged Him to permit them to enter the pigs, and He gave them permission.The demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned.

when I determined its boundaries and put its bars and doors in place,when I declared:“ You may come this far, but no farther; your proud waves stop here”?

You silence the roar of the seas, the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the nations.

When the 1,000 years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the abyss and a great chain in his hand.He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years.
