Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you thought about my servant Job? There isn’t anyone on earth like him. He is honest. He does what is right. He has respect for God and avoids evil. You tried to turn me against him. You wanted me to destroy him without any reason. But he still continues to be faithful.”

耶和华问撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人像他完全正直，敬畏神，远离恶事。你虽激动我攻击他，无故地毁灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。”

耶和华对撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人像他那样完全、正直、敬畏上帝、远离恶事。你虽激起我攻击他，无故吞灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。”

耶和华对撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人像他那样完全、正直、敬畏神、远离恶事。你虽激起我攻击他，无故吞灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。”

耶和华问道：“你注意到我的仆人约伯了吗？世上没有人像他那样纯全正直，敬畏我，远离罪恶。虽然你鼓动我无缘无故地攻击他、毁灭他，他仍然持守自己的纯正。”

耶和华问撒但：“你有没有注意到我的仆人约伯？世上再也没有一个人像他那样完全、正直，敬畏神，远离罪恶。虽然你挑拨我与他作对，无缘无故使他倾家荡产，他还是坚守自己的纯全。”

耶和華問撒但說：「你曾用心察看我的僕人約伯沒有？地上再沒有人像他完全正直，敬畏神，遠離惡事。你雖激動我攻擊他，無故地毀滅他，他仍然持守他的純正。」

耶和華對撒但說：「你曾用心察看我的僕人約伯沒有？地上再沒有人像他那樣完全、正直、敬畏上帝、遠離惡事。你雖激起我攻擊他，無故吞滅他，他仍然持守他的純正。」

耶和華對撒但說：「你曾用心察看我的僕人約伯沒有？地上再沒有人像他那樣完全、正直、敬畏神、遠離惡事。你雖激起我攻擊他，無故吞滅他，他仍然持守他的純正。」

耶和華問道：「你注意到我的僕人約伯了嗎？世上沒有人像他那樣純全正直，敬畏我，遠離罪惡。雖然你鼓動我無緣無故地攻擊他、毀滅他，他仍然持守自己的純正。」

耶和華問撒但：“你有沒有注意到我的僕人約伯？世上再也沒有一個人像他那樣完全、正直，敬畏神，遠離罪惡。雖然你挑撥我與他作對，無緣無故使他傾家蕩產，他還是堅守自己的純全。”

永恆主問撒但說：『你有沒有用心察看過我僕人約伯，看出地上沒有人能比得上他那樣純全，又正直又敬畏上帝，又遠離壞事呢？他一直持守他的純全，故此你激動我去攻擊他，毁滅他、是無用的。』

耶和華曰、我僕約伯、爾留意乎、彼純全端正、寅畏上帝、離棄諸惡、世無其匹、爾雖激我、無故滅之、彼仍守厥正、

耶和華曰、我僕約百、品行純良。孳孳為義、寅畏乎我、遠諸不善、天下莫與比儗、汝亦鑒之乎。因爾所言、我無故降災、彼亦不失其本心。

主問撒但曰、爾曾諦觀我僕約百否、世無人如彼、篤實正直、敬畏天主、遠離惡事、我聽爾言、無故降災於彼、彼仍持守其善、

Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil? He still holds fast his integrity, although you incited me against him to destroy him without reason.”

Then the Lord asked Satan,“ Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless— a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you urged me to harm him without cause.”

Then the LORD said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil. He still retains his integrity, even though you incited me against him, to destroy him for no good reason.”

The Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds firm to his integrity, although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.”

Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”

And Jehovah said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job? for there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and turneth away from evil: and he still holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you considered My servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil. He still retains his integrity, even though you incited Me against him, to destroy him without just cause.”

And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that[ there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

Then the LORD said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a pure and upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil. And he still holds firmly to his integrity, so that you stirred me up to destroy him without reason.”

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job? For there is no one like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. He still maintains his integrity, although you incited me against him, to ruin him without cause.”

Then the Lord said to Satan,“ Have you thought about my servant Job? There isn’t anyone on earth like him. He is honest. He does what is right. He has respect for God and avoids evil.”

God always gives you all the grace you need. So you will only have to suffer for a little while. Then God himself will build you up again. He will make you strong and steady. And he has chosen you to share in his eternal glory because you belong to Christ.

He would send a storm to crush me. He’d increase my wounds without any reason.

There was a man who lived in the land of Uz. His name was Job. He was honest. He did what was right. He had respect for God and avoided evil.

Blessed is the person who keeps on going when times are hard. After they have come through hard times, this person will receive a crown. The crown is life itself. The Lord has promised it to those who love him.

The path of honest people takes them away from evil. Those who guard their ways guard their lives.

I’ll never admit you people are right. Until I die, I’ll say I’m telling the truth.I’ll continue to say I’m right. I’ll never let go of that. I won’t blame myself as long as I live.

“ It isn’t because this man sinned,” said Jesus.“ It isn’t because his parents sinned. He was born blind so that God’s power could be shown by what’s going to happen.

I have not yet received all these things. I have not yet reached my goal. Christ Jesus took hold of me so that I could reach that goal. So I keep pushing myself forward to reach it.

Your troubles have come in order to prove that your faith is real. Your faith is worth more than gold. That’s because gold can pass away even when fire has made it pure. Your faith is meant to bring praise, honor and glory to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ returns.

He said,“ I was born naked. And I’ll leave here naked. The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away. May the name of the Lord be praised.”In spite of everything, Job didn’t sin by blaming God for doing anything wrong.

Here is the story of Noah’s family line. Noah was a godly man. He was without blame among the people of his time. He walked faithfully with God.

But now reach out your hand and strike down everything he has. Then I’m sure he will speak evil things against you. In fact, he’ll do it right in front of you.”

The Lord hates the sacrifice of sinful people. But the prayers of honest people please him.

“ I would never do anything like that!” Joab said.“ I would never swallow up or destroy what belongs to the Lord!

Consider honest people who are without blame. People who seek peace will have a tomorrow.

Those who do right are saved from trouble. But trouble comes on those who do wrong.

Even if God kills me, I’ll still put my hope in him. I’ll argue my case in front of him.

Doing right guards those who are honest. But evil destroys those who are sinful.

Whoever has respect for the Lord lives a good life. But those who hate him walk down an evil path.

Lord, when you hand down your sentence, let it be in my favor. I have lived without blame. I have trusted in the Lord. I have never doubted him.

Even if I hadn’t sinned, what I said would prove me guilty. Even if I were honest, my words would show that I’m wrong.

You will take good care of me because I’ve been honest. You will let me be with you forever.
