Therefore, just as fire licks up stubble and dry grass shrivels in the flame, so their roots will rot and their flowers wither. For they have rejected the law of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies; they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

“ They will not escape the darkness. The burning sun will wither their shoots, and the breath of God will destroy them.

For I am like a tree whose roots reach the water, whose branches are refreshed with the dew.

I have seen that fools may be successful for the moment, but then comes sudden disaster.Their children are abandoned far from help; they are crushed in court with no one to defend them.
